Jin tried to flash a smile as he walked to the company's lobby where Jungkook and Taehyung were standing, waiting for him. He didn't want his Esper to worry nor get upset about anything and him being nervous about going to the KCGG, so Jin just decided to just appear happy in front of him.
"Is everything okay?" Jungkook asked.
It was Taehyung who answered with a pout, "I don't think so. I think Esper Hoseok gave him a serious scolding."
"What--"
"No, not at all!" Jin exclaimed and laughed awkwardly. He glanced at Taehyung momentarily - he was already getting frustrated why this Esper had to accompany them. But he had no choice so he turned to Jungkook, "We just had a chat about the amendments in the contract. And he educated me as well about what we'll do at KCGG today."
"Ah, that." Jungkook scoffed. "It's not a big deal so don't stress yourself with that. Just don't talk that much to the Director. He's an ass."
"Yeah. A nasty one." Taehyung agreed.
"And I bet he called for his minion reporters again and told them that I'm coming. They're all assess too."
"Yeah, nasty ones too." Taehyung nodded.
"O-okay.. Esper Jeon and Esper Tae, but-- even if you think they're uhm- asses, just please behave well in there, huh? So the public won't talk trash about you again." Jin said, biting his bottom lip as he wasn't sure if he's even allowed to speak this way to Hybe's best Espers.
Jungkook sighed a bit, "Guide Seokjin, the mere purpose why Esper Kim calls for the media to cover my presence at the City Guards Guild was to encourage the public to talk trash about me.
However, eight out of ten times, it just backfires at him. The citizens love me, they adore me and our elite team. Do you see my billboard ads?! So Esper Kim can try all he wants, but he won't be successful.
Now, don't think too much, okay? I know you're not used to being in front of many people or having a lot of nosy trash butt in to your life. But it's inevitable now that you're with me. So don't worry, just stay beside me and you'll be okay. Hmm?"
"Okay, E-esper Jeon." Jin answered. He suddenly felt self-conscious when Jungkook stepped closer in front of him and patted his head gently.
Jungkook said, "You might not be feeling so well because of your hangover, and yet you're already dealing with stressful shits so early in the morning. I'm sorry, Guide Seokjin.
Here, for your headache. It's safe to take one even if you haven't eaten yet. Then we'll grab something on the way to KCGG coz I know you're already hungry. Let's go?"
Jin slowly took the small bag of medicine being handed to him by Jungkook. He then smiled and stared adorably at the Esper's eyes, "Th-thank you for going all the way to the pharmacy and getting me these, Esper Jeon. I appreciate it."
"Of course. I'll take care of you even if you don't ask me for it." Jungkook said, then he placed a quick peck on Jin's forehead. "Here-- this will heal your headache even without taking the medicine yet."
Jin chuckled with Jungkook's playful and cheesy statement. He said, "Ooh- wow, yeah.. my headache is gone now! I think you are a Healer Guide too!"
The two continued to chuckle while Taehyung just muttered in a pout, "Uhm, guys, I'm still here."
But Jungkook already pulled Jin to exit the building and head to the car waiting for them - both weren't paying attention to anything else but each other as they continued to chat and exchange chuckles.
The other Esper just sighed as he followed them quietly, whispering to himself, "I'm the one he asked to drop by the pharmacy for those meds but he gets all the credits. Aigoo.."
