Jin couldn't even move a muscle as he became exposed to different monsters for the first time. He had seen them only on TV, news and books before - so he still couldn't grasp that he's actually seeing a lot of them in real life.
These are the times when he wished that he could have trained more in fighting, or at least in defending himself. He knew he will get this kind of training in Hybe soon, but he regrets that he did not do it sooner despite being a Guide only in the Guide Center.
Now, he had no choice but to rely on an Esper for his life and he hated the feeling of it. Moreover, it's an Esper that he's not very close to. Though he doesn't fear this Esper's capability of protecting him, he still did not want to feel indebted to this man.
It was also the first time for Jin to see an S-Class Esper in action. Kim Namjoon easily struck different monsters one after another - sometimes two or three in just one hit. His punches were effortless, yet the beasts' bloods in strange colors were scattering just everywhere.
When Jin got ahold of himself, he felt like he needed to do something. He couldn't just stand there and watch Namjoon fight on his own.
Looking around, Jin found a big rock near the bushes. He quickly grabbed one and waited for smaller monsters to attack him.
When one ran speedily towards him, he threw the rock to its head with all his might - causing the monster to fall and whimper.
"Hah! That's one down!" Jin said proudly, he looked around and muttered, "Uhm, fifty-ish more to go?? They look like B-Class monsters only, but they're still too many. Where the hell are all these coming from-- AAGGHHH!!"
Jin suddenly fell to the ground when one of the beasts, looking like a distorted black wolf but with long, sticky tongue, tackled him down.
"Get off me, nasty monster!! Gahhh!!"
"Guide Seokjin!" Namjoon exclaimed and ran to him, grabbing the monster by hand and hitting it to the ground like a piece of paper. Then he helped Jin up, "Are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine. Y-you're alone in fighting them, Esper Namjoon. Can't you call the others?"
"I already have called for backup. But I guess there are also a lot attacking inside the building."
"Are you still feeling okay? Your eyes--"
"Y-yeah. I guess I need a bit of help-- could you guide me, just this once--" Namjoon quickly held Jin's chin and leaned in closer to his lips.
But Jin flinched and held on Namjoon's hand to make him stop, "Sir!! Wait- I,"
Jin's words were cut as both of them were caught off guard by a strong wind that suddenly blew from the middle of the park.
Namjoon, along with Jin, stumbled on the grass lawn as they got tossed away by the force of the wind. But the Esper was able to hold his ground while he wrapped his arm around Jin's waist to keep him steady too.
As if a huge tornado formed from the park's center, where one figure of a man was standing still - the air that hit the countless monsters were like sharp, invisible blades - slicing them all into small pieces.
"E-esper Jeon-- that's Esper Jeon!" Jin exclaimed.
Namjoon even tightened his embrace on Jin's waist to pull him closer to him. But since his grip was too strong, Jin couldn't help but whimper in pain. "Esper N-namjoon, you're hurting m-me.."
The crazy revolving air going on in the park suddenly stopped and died down as soon as Jungkook heard Jin's whimpers. He then turned and walked towards Namjoon.
