Christmas is in two days, and to say I'm stressed is an understatement. The family decided to take a trip into Diagon Alley for holiday shopping, and I have no idea what to get.
My three best friends have been smothering me with letters and gifts,—which I have happily returned—but the number of owls, Aswell as Pansy's, is getting obnoxious. Draco seems to agree, annoyingly throwing away her gifts and letters. Genuinely, I feel bad for the poor girl, as she seems clueless to his lack of feelings. A part of me realises I'm the reason for this, and questions how the blonde is going to treat me in the future, but the amount of affection and attention he gives me,—in private, of course...—dismisses these negative thoughts.
After the Malfoys, my parents and I, along with Miles, apparated to travel to the Leaky cauldron, leaving me a queasy mess, as apparating makes me feel sick to my stomach.
Once arrived, we all headed towards the end of the shop, where a small brick placed itself, leading into Diagon Alley if tapped correctly among the others. Doing such, Inside, each person decided to split up in order to not spoil what gifts await us under the tree.
An assortment of shops, restaurants, and other sights, laid Neatly among each other as many witches and wizards packed the place, getting their last minute holiday presents.
Miles' gift was easy: Something Quidditch related. I obviously shouldn't add another jersey to his collection, as it is growing large, and he could barely fit even half into his trunk. Stumbling upon 'Quality Quidditch Supplies', I half contemplated if my brother would already be in there, to which he was not, thankfully. It was on the North side of the Alley, and upon entering many different broomsticks, Quaffles and Bludgers filled the vast room. Scanning through the robes, a small box to the left caught my eye. 'Broomstick Maintenance Kit' Stood out in bold, white letters. Since he had just gotten the new Nimbus 2001, Miles would sure appreciate this.
Slipping the store owner a hefty sum of Sickles, I walked out of the shop, satisfied with the purchase.
Moving on to the other gifts, I bought mum a cute, pink cashmere scarf, as it's her favourite colour and the winter weather is quite chilly. My dad on the other hand had been quite busy with work lately, barely making time for the family, so the leather-bound journal is a great way he could organise his thoughts, and plans.
Now time for the hardest presents. The Malfoys...
Many thoughts crossed my mind on the previous gifts I had bought for him and how no matter what it was, Lucius was always dissatisfied. Draco wasn't hard though, I would usually get him something cheap that he would just throw away later, but this year was different. I had to actually think about what I wanted to buy the blonde, not even sure if he's just like his father.
For Narcissa, I mustn't get her anything that isn't elegant and tasteful and at any given time lower her high social standing... Other than that, I'm sure she would appreciate whatever it is. I should start there.
Scanning the shops, 'Madam Primpernelle's Beautifying Potions' has a stunning collection of 'Rare Magical Perfumes' displayed confidently through the display window.
Perfect!
Walking in, the air was filled with a delicate blend of enchanting scents. Making my way around the aromatic shop, different glistening solutions presented themselves proudly on sparkling shelfs.
Wow. This place is definitely for the higher end of the wizarding world.
While perusing each of the glass bottles lined up, each one shimmering with their own magical aura, one of the shop owners calmly walked up to me. Elegantly speaking, —Just her voice alone sounding like a million Galleons— the slim, brunette questioned if I needed any assistance.
