19: Always Two Steps Ahead

Madison walked inside her house cautiously and saw her mom sitting on the couch waiting.

Madison looked at her Mom, Tracy saw her and walked up to her with a happy face since they haven't seen each other or even spoken to each other in a long time.

Tracy hugged her without hesitation and Madison didn't reject the hug, she needed it and has been far too mean to her so she let it slide.

Madison then hugged her back and didn't notice A-train here or at least in the living room.

Madison of course had the compound V tube in her pocket, hidden.

Madison wasn't in her costume, she kept looking around trying to see A-train or spot him anywhere.

A-train was busy in Madison's room snooping and then he heard her and ran really fast downstairs using of course his powers.

A-train stood directly facing Madison with an action figure in his hand that so happened to be him.

A-train looked at Madison with a smile in his face and commented while showing the action figure to Madison, "didn't know you were a fan, huh...that explains everything."

Madison grabbed the action figure from him and threw it on the ground, she responded with an upset face, "i was when i was eight, things have changed."

A-train then grabbed her mom's arm and pulled her towards himself, he looked at Madison with a serious face.

Tracy was slightly getting scared not understanding anything going on.

"you know if i really wanted to, i could just run you both over right now. It would make my job a lot easier" A-train contemplated and gave Madison a promising look, Madison didn't see a reason of why he would want to kill them both.

"you know i've kept your secrets so there's no reason for you to do anything to me, now i've brought your compound V. Leave my mom alone." Madison commanded and he smirked at her, "well hold on, let me see it."

Madison showed him the tube and he nodded understanding that she had held her end of the bargain.

"fine, hand it." A-train declared and Madison threw it to him, while Kimiko dropped down from the vent and she looked at A-train quickly before she drop kicked him and snapped his leg.

A-train was rolling on the ground as his leg was snapped and he groaned in pain on the floor.

Madison looked at A-train on the ground, weeping about his broken well sprained leg.

"just like you said, i'm always two steps ahead." Madison told him and it felt good to say that since he's been straight up mean to her, she didn't feel bad, plus she was doing him a favor.

A-train looked at Madison and mumbled, groaning about his leg, "what a bitch, i should've known."

Compound V wasn't good for A-train.

Madison high-fived Kimiko because of her help, Kimiko had great powers and somewhat way better than Madison so she let her hurt A-train.

Plus Madison wasn't too mean like that and couldn't do that because she would regret it.

Madison retrieved the compound V back from his hand and walked away with her mom and Kimiko by her side.

They left A-train hurt on the floor.

Back at the Boys retreat, all of The Boys had their important family there well most except Kimiko and Frenchie, they didn't have much of a family.

Butcher on the other hand, had a wife and kid just didn't know where they were being hidden...he needs to look into that.

Since, they have exposed Compound V in the news, they all knew they would be at risk but as much as their family's would be too because of the mess they have caused.

M.M had his (ex) wife and his kid there, Hughie had his dad there and lastly Madison had her mom there.

All ready to be taken care of by the C.I.A agents because of Butcher giving Raynor the evidence in return they all get help for their family members.

So they wouldn't get hurt and be protected by the C.I.A.

Madison looked away for a second and saw her mom getting along with Butcher chatting away.

Madison didn't like that and walked towards them,

"what's so funny, Butcher?" Madison asked while standing there with a serious face, He finished laughing and looked at her, "you wouldn't understand"

Tracy smiled at him and continued talking, They both were laughing and talking about her.

Madison just walked away and saw M.M talking to his daughter and wife.

She felt for M.M because they were probably upset with him and why he came back to this risky business.

Madison saw M.M's little girl drawling on a piece of paper and was going to introduce herself when Raynor began talking, "okay, so you all know why you're here. say your goodbyes and come this way, we are going to keep you all safe in the meanwhile."

Madison heard Raynor and looked at her mom trying to decide if she even wanted to say goodbye.

She was still pretty mad, Madison started walking up to her mom.

Butcher then finished the conversation with her and walked away leaving them alone.

Madison looked at Tracy and she was still upset, "i'm sorry for not ever telling you, it's my fault but please don't stop talking to me. i love you and i won't ever do something like that to you again.."

Tracy wanted to hug her and kiss her and tell her how much she loves her but held back slightly because Madison is stubborn and won't forgive easily.

"i really wish it was that easy, mom. i just- don't think i could forgive you...but maybe some day i can. Just not today, i hope you are safe after this and don't call me. i don't want you to get in trouble or hurt," Madison stated and left her mom on a bad note but she understood.

Tracy walked away and Madison looked away taking a deep breath because what she just told her had hurt her as well but had to do it.

Frenchie noticed and walked up to Madison, "Oui, it was hard? i'm sorry about your situation, madison."

Madison looked at him almost holding back tears and she responded, "i'm fine, i've dealt with worse. it's okay."

Kimiko walked up to Madison as well and hugged her as it looked like she needed it.

Madison hugged her back and tried to smile.

They all began leaving upstairs with a few agents and with Raynor.

Madison noticed the tv on and saw Homelander explaining the situation to a fellow interviewer.

"yes, well as i was saying. All of this is fake news, it isn't real. Where'd they get their information from anyways?" Homelander joked around and lied to the press.

Madison watched in pure anger trying to see Homelander defend Vought and the reputation.

It was clearly working on the fans.

As he had lots of supporters, Madison was in second place when it came to supporters and fans.

Frenchie put his arm around Madison trying to comfort her as he saw her face because she looked worried.

Madison smiled at the effort of Frenchie but it wasn't helping, Kimiko noticed them getting closer but she didn't mind it because all Frenchie and her were was just friends.

Kimiko wished Frenchie the best ever since they've met.

Butcher slightly looked at Madison and secretly caught glimpses of her just thinking about everything.

After a while, Madison started to feel slightly bad for A-train because of what they did to his leg but he has been tormenting her and he literally has killed two people so she didn't feel to awful.

A-train wouldn't run for a while and that's for sure.

Robin and Popclaw didn't deserve that.

Hughie smiled at Madison knowing she did the right thing for A-train because he's been wanting payback for what he did to his girlfriend when he carelessly ran her over.
