“Seven, you need to grow up.” I gritted at him. He raised an eyebrow at me, as if telling me he didn’t understand. “You act as if you can control me. It’s like high school all over again, with you being so damn possessive! I’m not going to have it this time. I’ve grown up, and by golly you should too.” With that I stormed out of the room, in search for Leaven. I reached his room and saw Leaven on his bed, holding what looked like a video recorder in his hand. I raised an eyebrow but said nothing about it.
“Listen, Leaven, I know I’ve lead you on today and all … but I actually have had a second to think about it and … It was a mistake agreeing to go out with you. I’m sorry, but it’s not going to work.”
Leaven looked up at me and I could see his face shade over with anger, before he composed himself. “What did Seven have to talk to you about?” Leaven asked me, almost acting as if he didn’t hear what I just told him.
I glanced around the room, wondering how I should reply. “He wanted to know what I have been up to all these years,” I easily lied.
Leaven stood up and tossed the recorder on the bed. I still said nothing about it and looked at him. With long strides Leaven was right in front of me. I felt his hot breath on my face. “Why do you feel the need to lie to me?” He asked as his laced his fingers in my fiery hair. Something about his menacing voice made me shiver. A smirk laid on his face when I did.
My brain immediately sent off alarms, warning me that Leaven … Has changed and it was most definitely for the worse. “I’m not lying.” I knew once I said that, that it was a mistake.
Leaven gripped the strand of my hair tighter in his fingers. I felt pressure / pain in my scalp, he was pulling my hair. I tilted my head to relieve myself of the pain he was causing me, but it caused me to lean my head on his chest.
Leaven let go of my hair and wrapped his hands around me. “I knew you would come around,” He said, acting as if I had a choice to lean my head on his chest.
I sighed and began to wonder what the hell just happened … Did he actually just pull my hair and forced me to lean my head on him?
A few minutes passed and Leaven let go of me.
“What do you have planned for today?” He asked me.
I tried to think of if I really wanted to answer him with a no. It pained me to think of what might happen. “I-I-I planned to go visit my dad today.” I tried to sound convincing.
Leaven looked at me, his eyes looked like they were searching in my soul for even a hint that I was lying. “Your dad’s … Really?” He questioned. I gave him a slight nod. “Good. I have wanted to catch up with your dad.” Leaven informed me.
I tried not to drop my jaw in awe that he wanted to come with me. I hadn’t expected, nor wanted that. With a long uncomfortable silence I nodded in agreement to his request - or suggestion … either way, he wanted to go with me. “I can give you the address, we will meet there later.” I advised him.
He sighed and looked at me like I was a black abyss. “Where will you be in the meantime?” He asked. “We could do something to waste away the time and I can drive you there myself.” He stated to me has his warm hand caressed my cheek.
