Seven pushed past me and I knew he was headed for the door. My arms reached out to grab him and pull Seven back, but his strides were too long. I could feel my heart pound in my chest as the knocks on the door became louder and Seven got closer. A fool would have stood there, and so I guess I was, but I couldn’t move a muscle. Yet, images of what Seven would do to Leaven crossed my mind as I quickly ran over to Seven and jumped in front of him and the door. His green-blue eyes gave me a hard, cold glare. From experiences in high school I knew that it was not wise to get in between him and the thing he wanted to kill, but I had too. “Seven, please, don’t. I will break up with him, just go.” I said in a low voice in hopes Leaven couldn’t hear me. I examined Seven, waiting for his shoulders to drop and him to calm down, but he didn’t.  In fact he walked closer to me and the door. Within seconds his chest was leaning on mine and my back was firmly pressed on the door.

“Anna?!” Leaven shouted and I could feel the vibrations of his knock on my back.

“Hold on! I am getting dressed!” I shouted without breaking Seven’s gaze. There was a sigh on the other side of the door, but I ignored it as I felt the heat radiating off of Seven.

“Anna, move,” Seven muttered for only him and I to hear. I slowly shook my head at his words. His breath began to fan my face which made me nervous for some reason. Seven didn’t seem to notice as he narrowed his eyes at me. “Anna, I am not going to ask again, move.” He said in a very demanding tone. I would have moved away from the door if I didn’t know his intentions.

“I swear to break up with him, if you leave and don’t harm him,” I stated. This angered him, he put both of his hands on the door next to my face. Leaning his face in Seven moved his mouth to my ear.

“I want him out of your life,” Seven’s voice was anything but sweet and nice. It made me scared, not of myself, but for Leaven if Seven was to ever get a hold of him.  “You can tell that boy that is outside of your door that you literally saved his life.” With that Seven backed away from me and the door.

I sighed as it felt like a weight had been lifted off me. “Go out the back exit! And wait till we are at my father’s before you leave my backyard,” I told him.

“Why should I hide?” He asked me. I wanted to tell him that Leaven might get the wrong idea, but Seven just huffed and asked where the back door was. I told him and he angrily went towards it. Once he was out of sight and I heard it close, I turned around and put on a fake smile. When I opened the door I saw that Leaven with a plastered smile on his face.

“You’re wearing the same outfit I gave you this morning,” he told me as his eyes observed me.

“Huh?” I said in confusion.

“You said you weren’t dressed when I knocked,” he stated.

“I took a shower and your clothes were too tempting not to put back on,” I lied. He gave me a smirk showing he was pleased with my answer, but soon his face dropped.

“Your hair is not wet.”

I wanted to yell for his to stop studying me I was really not in the mood to give excuses. “Shower cap, I don’t like regularly washing my hair,” I untruthfully said.
