Part THREE of FOUR part epilogue!

Annabelle’s P.O.V

The whole wedding was beautiful. Heaven and Carollena looked so happy and I could help but fiddle with Logan’s hair as I started to hope that one day I could be as happy as they were. I knew, however, that in order to do that, I needed to go out and date. But, I really didn't want too. I was so afraid of bringing a man into my life and Logan gets attached to him and he just leaves. I really didn’t want Logan to get hurt.

Sighing, I knew it was more me afraid of getting hurt then Logan.

“Mama, stop,” Logan said as he swatted my hand away with his chubby arm.

Rolling my eyes, I stopped running my hand through his brown locks. “Sorry, buddy,” I told him. Watching Logan for a second I saw him eye a girl his age on the dance floor. “Go dance with the girl,” I told him.

Logan looked at me with his deep blue eyes and shook his head. “She has cooties,” he mumbled.

“Girl don’t have cooties,” I heard a male say from beside me.

I didn’t even have to look over to see Seven standing there with a small smile on his face.

“They don’t?” Logan asked with a furrow of his small brows.

“Nope, cooties are just make believe.”

 “Like Santa?” Logan questioned.

I gasped and sat up straight in my chair. “Who told you that? Santa is real!” I argued thinking that he was too young to not believe in Santa.

Giving me a roll of his eyes, Logan slipped out of chair and looked at me, “It’s duh!” Was all he said before walking over to the dance floor.

“It’s duh?” I repeated as Seven took a seat next to me. “Do kids say that now-a-days or did he just make that up?” I jokingly asked before realizing I was mad at Seven. Looking away I watched Logan sway his tiny hips on the dance floor.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I heard Seven inquire.

Closing my eyes for a second, I sighed. Max must have told him ... I told Max to not say a damn word. Shit... “Listen, Seven-”

“You could have told me!” Seven fired as he suddenly stood back up. “I would have stayed if I knew Leaven had gone that far! I didn’t know he-"

“Whoa, Max told you Logan was Leaven’s child?” I asked as I too stood up with dumbfoundness.

“No, he didn’t exactly say that, but I pieced it together.”

“That Logan was Leaven’s child?”

“Well, yeah ... I mean it is not like,” Seven paused for a minute and then looked like he had seen a ghost.

“It is not like what?” I quizzed with a humorous expression.

Gulping, Seven’s face fell slightly pale. “You and Leaven, never had sex or he never ... never raped you ... did he?”

“Leaven never got that far,” I simply replied.

“Then .... Then ...”

As if a weight had been lifted off my shoulder, I released a sigh and gave a real smile. “Congratulations, you're a deadbeat dad.”

“Anna if-”

“Please for the love of Monkeys, don’t tell me that if you knew you would have stayed and stuck by my side. I don’t want to hear it. Logan and I have survived four long years without you. Do us a favor, leave.” With that I turned on my heel and started to walk away from him.
