Neglected

Romeo and Juliet

"You will be assigned groups in which you will get an act from Romeo and Juliet. Might I add this is 50% of your grade." The teacher said.

"What did you get?" I asked Rory after getting my paper.

"Death scene."

"Same!" I answered excitedly.

Our group met in the lunch hall, that group included Madeleine, Brad, Paris, me, Louise and surprisingly Tristan showed up.

"Okay so parts will be Brad is Romeo and Rory is Juliet."

"Woah, woah I don't want to be Juliet." Rory stated.

"Matilda can act way better than me." She added.

"Hey!" I nudged her.

"Okay fine." Paris said.

"But I will vomit if I speak on stage." Brad opposed literally shaking because of the thought.

"Tristan will be Romeo, I mean Tristan is Romeo." Madeleine giggled at Tristan.

"Okay fine, Matilda is Juliet and Tristan is Romeo." Paris barked.

"I'll text you all the place of practice tomorrow." She added.

"Hey not cool making me be Juliet." I pouted to Rory.

"I'm sorry I also can't kiss Tristan, I have Dean." She smiled.

"Fine but you owe me." I rolled my eyes before we linked our arms and headed home.

I had a shift at Luke's so I quickly changed and headed to the Diner.

"Hey Luke, here for my shift." I said walking up to him.

"Good, go get Jess." He said pointing to the stairs.

I knocked on the door but there was no answer.

I knocked again, no answer.

I opened the door and looked around before spotting Jess sleeping on his bed peacefully.

I smiled before I thought it was time for payback for pulling me into the lake.

I grabbed the eyeliner from my bag and snuck closer as quietly as possible. The eyeliner was waterproof and would only come off with makeup remover, this would give him a good little scare I thought to myself.

I started drawing a thick swoopy moustache and wrote on his forehead "TILDA RULES" in big block letters. When I finished i put the eyeliner in my bag and took a picture of him sleeping on my digital camera and another picture of me smiling next to him. When I was done I held his nose so he couldn't breathe and waited.

He gasped and sat up quickly. I tried not to laugh at the moustache.

"Luke wants you down."

"Hello to you too, I'll be down in a minute." He replied.

I ran down and waited anxiously.

"Matilda!" I heard a yell from upstairs.

He ran down the steps and into the diner with a fuming look on his face.

"I like the new look." Luke chuckled.

"Matilda get your ass over here." He demanded.

He started chasing me around before cornering me in the storage room.

I squealed when he caught we grabbing me but the waist and lifting me up.

"Uh oh." I said staring at him.
