"What's got you in such a good mood?" Lorelai asked noticing my happy smile.

"I need to tell you and Rory together after the wedding."

"Okay well, we'll be leaving in an hour. Tell us when we get home."

The wedding was beautiful, I was so happy for Sookie and Jackson they really complimented each other well.

"So please let me fully finish my explanation before talking." I said as I stood in front of the two Gilmores who sat on the couch.

"So Jess is back." I started. Both of their eyes widened as they were both about to speak.

"As I said no speaking yet." I pointed at them.

"When I went for a walk during a wedding he found me sitting on the bridge. After a whole lot of yelling and crying we made up and we are still together. You may speak now." I said.

"I'm happy for you hon but please be careful. I don't want you getting hurt again." Lorelai said giving me a hug.

"Oh I'm so happy for you!" Said Rory also hugging me.

"I'm gonna be careful but I truly believe that he's changed." I explained.

"Matilda I trust you but please still be careful." Lorelai sighed kissing the top of my head.

"I will." I gave her a tight lipped smile before going up to my room to get ready for bed. I opened my journal and started writing. I wrote every word he said into the book with every feeling I felt. I easily filled 20 pages of the journal with all my thoughts.

I felt the happiest I had been since before he left. I opened the box I had put all the things that had reminded me of him. I put all the books back on my shelf including the Pride and Prejudice, I put all the pictures back on my cork board and I hung his hoodie that i had stolen back in my closet.

"Lorelai!" I yelled from my room.

"What?"

"Did you take my white linen baby doll tank top?"

"Maybeeee."

"Can I have it back?"

"Fine." I heard her huff before she brought it up to my room.

"Thanks." I smile before putting it on with jean shorts.

I put in my dark red converse and headed to Luke's for work.

"Hey." I smiled.

"Matilda there's something I need to tell you." He said in a worried tone.

"I know he's back, we made up."

"Okay good, I didn't know how you'd take it." He said just as Jess walked down the stairs in a black graphic t and jeans.

"I don't know how you don't over heat in th-" he cut me off my kissing me.

"Hey!" I said pulling away.

"Sorry." He chuckled.

"Now this again." Luke rolled his eyes.

"You working?" Jess asked.

"Yep, 2 hours."

"Me too, bookstore after?"

"Yes!" I exclaimed excitedly before going back to wiping a table.

"I'm really happy that you're back." I said as we walks hand in hand to the bookstore.

"I regretted leaving the second I did." He brought up our tangled hands and kissed mine.

"I don't know which ones to choose." I whined.

"How many do you have?" He asked lifting his head from a book.

"20." I sighed as his eyes widened and a smile spread on his face.

"Tell you what, if you narrow it down to 6 I'll pay for it." He smirked walking closer to me.

"Really? I was only gonna get 2." I said.

"Yes, absolutely. My treat."

I kissed his cheek before focussing on my books and picking the most interesting ones.

We walked out the store, him holding the big paper bag filled with books in one hand and my hand in his other.

"Did you know that Rory's going to Boston for the summer?" I asked interrupting the comfortable silence.

"No I didn't, so it's just gonna be you and Lorelai huh?"

"Yep, you staying in Stars Hollow for the summer?"

"Was planning on spending the summer with you." He said making me smile from ear to ear.

"I'm glad." I giggled looking in his eyes as we walked towards Luke's.

I was laying in the couch reading with my legs on Jess' lap as he rhythmically tapped his fingers on my shins while he watched tv.

"You know I've been taking dance classes with miss Patty again and miss Patty had actually signed my solo up for a competition that's next week. I wanted to ask if you want to come watch?" I asked lifting my eyes from my book to his perfect side profile.

"I'd love to come." He smiled looking at me.

"It's in Hartford at this big theatre, I'm super nervous." I said smiling at his answer.

"I'm sure you'll be the best." He said with a grin.

"That's what miss Patty said." I snorted.
