Prologue
"The destruction of Alfheim."
The sun was shining through the tree's of the forest and through those tree's was a giant white castle that looked more green seeing as there were overgrown veins and plants all over it, where people from the town could be seen coming into the castle, because today was Atara's eighth birthday, where she would be crowned in front of everyone to show them that she will be the future queen of Alfheim once her mother and father pass on.
Where up in the castle, in the highest tower, lived the princess, where she could always be seen standing on the balcony and soaking in the sun, but not today, as she stood in front of her mirror, the corset of her green gown that had gold stitching was being tied up while her hair had been curled and put into this tall bun on top of her head, making her pointy ears be seen, which was new seeing as Atara never put her hair up always keeping it down and covering her ears where the tip would only poke out.
But this crowning wasn't just for the people to know who their queen was but to let Atara know that she was no longer a little girl, that her entire life was about to change and that meant no more riding on horse back through the woods and practicing her archery and having picnics under the huge willow as the sun shined down and making flower crowns but to put away childish things and become a women of the people.
Where once her corset was tied up, her handmaidens walked to the door and opened it and as they walked out, Atara walked to the door and began to follow her guards down the hallway, and down the many staircases, heading down the hallway the only thing that could be heard was the sound of her heels clicking against the floor, until they made it closer to the large double doors to the throne room "today's a day where we come together and crown the future of Alfheim!" her father's voice could be heard, as the guards stopped at the door, Atara let out a breath, making sure she stood straight.
"So please welcome, our daughter, princess Atara!" her father voiced, as the doors opened, the guards began walking through and as they did, everyone turned toward's them, as Atara made sure to smile, and as the guards made it to the front, they moved out of her way, standing on either side, as Atara stood in front of her parents, her mother smiled at her, she turned grabbing the pillow that had a crown that had gold branches and leaves on it.
Atara stepped forward and went down on her knees and as she did, her father took the crown from her mother and walked down to her, putting it on her head "on this day, Atara, princess of Alfheim shall become your future queen!" her father voiced, and as he did, Atara lifted her head up and looked up at him, smiling.
But as she did, the entire castle shook, making them all furrow their brows, as they turned their heads, the castle then shook again, and as it did, the doors to the throne room opened, as a guard came running in "my king, we.." he shared, holding his chest "are under attack.." he shared, before falling over, people gasped, and as they did, panic began to arise amongst the people, as Atara's eyes went wide, her father helped her up off the floor and as he did, he turned to one of the guards "take her to safety." he told him.
"What? No, father! No!" Atara voiced, shaking her head, the guard grabbed her and as he did, an explosion hit the castle, as the ceiling caved in, people could be heard screaming, Atara was then thrown over the guards shoulder and began being taken out of the throne room, going up the stairs in the back, being up above everyone else, Atara saw through the railing as these creatures came in and began killing towns people along with other guards, where this purple alien began moving through the crowd, heading toward's her mother and father.
