007. PREPARING TO TAKE ON RONAN

Chapter seven

"Preparing to take on Ronan." 

They then regrouped with Rocket, Gamora, Drax and Groot as they all sat around in a circle "you call that figured it out? We're gonna rob the guys who just beat us senseless." Rocket shared "oh, you want to talk about senseless? How about trying to save us by blowing us up?" Peter asked "we were only gonna blow you up if they didn't turn you over!" Rocket voiced "turn us over in between what? The five seconds you gave?" Atara asked "we didn't have time to work out the minutiae of the plan. This is what we get for acting altruistically." Rocket shared "I am groot." Groot said.

"They are ungrateful." Rocket shared "no we are not! Because while we were on that ship, Peter made it possible to where the ravangers will now help us against Ronan and his army to save Xandar." Atara shared "so we can give the stone to Yondu who's just gonna sell it to somebody even worse?" Rocket asked "we'll figure that part out later." Peter shared "we have to stop Ronan." Gamora told them "how?" Rocket asked "I have a plan." Peter said "you've got a plan?" Rocket asked "yes." Peter told him.

"First of all, you're copying me from when I said I had a plan." Rocket shared "no, I'm not. People say that all the time. It's not that unique of a thing to say." Peter shared "secondly, I don't even believe you have a plan." Rocket shared "I have part of a plan!" Peter voiced "what percentage of a plan do you have?" Drax asked, as Gamora pointed at him "you don't get to ask questions after the nonsense you pulled on Knowhere." she shared "exactly! Because we wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for you!" Atara voiced.

"I just save you and Quill." Drax shared, looking at her "we've already established that you destroying the ship that we're on is not saving us." Peter shared "when did we establish it?" he asked "like three seconds ago!" Peter voiced, as Drax looked away from the two "I wasn't listening. I was thinking of something else." he shared, Gamora groaned, as Atara threw her arms up "they're right. You don't get an opinion." Rocket told Drax, as he looked to Peter "what percentage?" he asked "I don't know. Twelve percent." Peter told them "twelve percent?" Rocket asked, as he laughed.

"That's a fake laugh." Peter said "it's real!" Rocket voiced "totally fake." Peter told him "that is the most real, authentic, hysterical laugh of my entire life because that is not a plan." Rocket shared, as Atara looked to Peter "he's not wrong." she told him, as Peter turned to her "you're taking they're side?" he asked "I am groot." Groot said "so what, it's better than eleven percent? What the hell does that have to do with anything?" Rocket asked "thank you, Groot. Thank you." Peter told him, patting him on the shoulder, as he looked at them all.

"See? Groots the only one of you who has a clue." Peter shared, as he turned seeing Groot eating plants off of himself, he then turned away, putting his fingers on the bridge of his nose, Rocket scoffed "guys. Come on. Yondu is gonna be here in two seconds. He expects to here this big plan of ours. I need your help. I look around at us. You know what I see? Losers. I mean, like, folks who have lost stuff. And we have. Man, we have. All of us. Our homes, our families, normal lives. And, normally, life takes more than it gives. But not today. Today it's giving us something. It has given us a chance." Peter shared.

"To do what?" Drax asked, as Peter looked to him "to give a shit. For once." he shared, looking back at them all "not runaway. I, for one, am not gonna stand by and watch as Ronan wipes out billions of innocent lives." he shared "but, Quill, stopping Ronan, it's impossible. You're asking us to die." Rocket shared, as Peter sighed "yeah, I guess I am." he shared, turning away from them all and walked away, Atara turned to him "Peter." she said, and when she did, Peter turned to her.

"When I agreed with you not having a plan, it wasn't because I was taking a side. Because in truth since I was eight years old by entire life that was planned out for me was destroyed. And ever since then all my life has been is stealing and being thrown in jail.." she shared, throwing her arms out, chuckling "then I met you and yeah maybe at first it was to earn the bounty from Yondu but not anymore. And you risked your life to save mine, so if you're going out there to die? I'm going with you." she shared, as the two of them looked into each other's eyes.

"I have lived most of my life surrounded by my enemies." Gamora shared, as she stood up, Peter looked to her "I will be grateful to die among my friends." she told them "you are an honorable man, Quill." Drax said as he stood up, Peter looked to him "I will fight beside you. And in the end, I will see my wife and daughter again." he shared, as Groot stood up, Peter looked to him "I am groot." Groot said, as they all then looked to Rocket, Rocket sighed "oh, what the hell. I don't got that long a lifespan, anyway." he shared, standing up "now I'm standing. Ya'll happy? We're all standing up now, bunch of jackasses standing in a circle." Rocket shared, as they all looked at each other.

They all were then getting ready, as Atara replaced her clothes that had been burned up, having new leather pants and a shirt, as she threw her new jacket on, the hood went over her head, as she turned to her bow an arrow, she stuck a bunch of new arrows into it as she then grabbed it and threw it over her shoulder.

Standing amongst all of Yondu and the ravangers, Peter, Gamora and Atara were in the middle "the stone reacts to anything organic. The bigger the target, the bigger the power surge." Gamora shared "all Ronans gotta do is touch the stones to the planets surface and zap. All plants, animals, Nova corps." Peter shared "everything will die." Gamora told them "so Ronan does not make the surface. Rocket will lead a team to blow a hole in the dark aster's starboard hull. Then, our craft and Yondu's will enter." Peter shared.

"Won't there be hundreds of Sakaaran soldiers inside?" Craglen asked "I think of Sakkaran as paper people." Drax shared, as Craglen punched him in the shoulde, Drax dared him to hit him again "Ronan will isolate himself behind impenetrable security doors on deck. Which I can disable by dismantling the power source." Gamora shared "we'll make it ot the flight deck, and I'll use the hadron enforcer to kill Ronan." Peter shared "and once Ronan is dead then and only then will we retrieve the stone. These devices will help you contain it. Because if you touch it, it will kill you." Atara shared.

"I'll contact one of the Nova officers who arrested us. Hopefully they'll believe were there to help." Peter shared "there's one more thing we need to complete the plan. That guys eye." Rocket shared, pointing at the ravanger with the robotic eye "no! No, we don't. No, we don't need that guys eye." Peter shared, as Atara chuckled "he's kidding!" she voiced "no, seriously, I need it! It's important to me." Rocket shared, giggling.

They all then separated and made sure they had everything together as they got closer "Ronan's fleet has been spotted, and will arrive in T minus fifteen minutes." a robotic voice said through the ship, where Peter and Atara met up in the middle of the hallway, where the two began down it, Gamora then came out on the right walking next to Atara as Drax came out on the left walking next to Peter, Rocket then came out walking in front of them, as Groot followed in behind.

Rocket then got into a separate ship while the others got into the milano, Atara was sitting up front right next to Peter "this is a terrible plan." Gamora shared "hey, you're the one who said you wanted to die among friends." Peter shared "just remember no plans perfect." Atara shared, as they continued flying off.
