Nahar didn't leave me alone the whole evening and we were hanging out at all of our favorite places.

Late night he dropped me back to my room and I was a bit sleepy so I directly went into the room.

The moment my eyes begged me to sleep,
But I'm stuck, In the silent war between my mind and heart.

I was just lying on my back all night and slowly the sleep consumed me.

I woke up around 10 in the morning as it was the weekend.
When I came out of my room to check on Sam then it hit me that it was her date weekend with Nahar.
While Sam was getting dressed I received a call from Nahar asking me to join them as didn't want me to be alone but I politely refused saying I didn't wanna be a third wheel.
He was not convinced but I assured him saying that I was planning to spend my day with my mother-in-law.
Then we both chatted for a few minutes and cut the call.
I called my mom and asked can we hang out today and she told me that she was free and that she would come to my room.
Sam came out and asked me how she looked.

This is what she was wearing and I told her she was looking gorgeous.
We bid bye to each other and I came into the house.
As my mom told me she would come in an hour I quickly cooked a meal so that we could eat together.
By the time I finished cooking, my doorbell rang.
I knew it was her and I ran and opened the door and gave her a bear hug
She hugged me back and came inside.
I asked about her and everyone well well-being in the family.
We gossiped about everything and then we ate our lunch.
After lunch, she asked me how I was doing and why I was too silent.
I didn't answer her and I just kept my head on her lap and lay down.
After a few minutes, I slowly showed her the picture of the gift 🎁.

Immediately she asked me did her son had given it to me and I just nodded my head.

Then she asked whether I liked it or not, I told her it was good.
She understood something was wrong and asked me to tell her everything.
I  was silent for some time and slowly told her that I years posted a picture on my social media saying that I wanted a ring similar to this from my life partner.
And I told her that, that one post was for Karan.
And I didn't know how Aarav got to know about the picture and gave me the same ring I wanted.
She waited for me to finish and told me something that stuck in my mind.
Baccha, we can't open new doors while holding onto the past.
And she added I know this ring reminds you of Karan but without knowing your past Aarav got you the ring think about his consideration towards you and the efforts he has put in.
Her thoughts were going on my mind as if I was in a rollercoaster 🎢.
