The Three Threads

As it was the weekend and me and sam left for the long drive.
Usually we take the bike but today I wanted to talk to her so we are in her car.
I know very well that Sam was freaking out from everything that has been put on her.
After we almost hit the highway I asked her what was going on in her mind
She had no clue how to go through this situation.
So I asked her if she has any interest in him.
Will she be thinking of a future of them.
She said she didn't know and also added she didn't wanna do anything without her parents' wishes.
And also she didn't know if she was ready for a relationship or marriage.
She wanted to pursue he career to make a name of herself and make her parents proud.
So getting into anything with him might alter everything.
I stopped her thoughts right there and said nothing will happen if she didn't want it to happen and everything will be according to her wish.
Plus no one is forcing her to make a decision right away.
She can take all her time, even if she says  yes  they don't have to get married immediately.
They can get to each other and spend more time with each other.
We talked about her insecurities and some question answer sessions.
Then i finally told her that her mom asked me to know what she actually thinks about him as she was going to talk to his mom about their proposal and before having a conversation with his parents her mom wanted her opinion.
And I told her to think about it and sleep on it and then decide.

Nahar pov

I was really freaking out thinking what stupid impression I would have made on her about me and I was really angry at myself.
At the same moment Maaya called me and said she had talked to Sam and Sam will decide later but I should be ready for any outcome.
Then we chatted  for sometime and cut the call.
A couple of days later Sam messaged me saying that she is in and I can go talk to my parents.
I immediately called her because I didn't want to force her.
After talking to her I felt she is really okay with me .
So we talked for sometime and cut the call

But I really thought everything will be smooth about my relationship but convincing my parents were the most difficult part.
More than whom I wanted to marry the thought of me falling in love with someone upsetting them more.
But finally I and maaya along with Sam's parents somehow convinced them and we got engaged around the time she finished her college and still together.
