Aarav pov

The sun dipped low over Bangalore, I stood on the terrace of her little rooftop house, the cool evening breeze brushing against my skin.

The city buzzed below, but up here, it was just us—quiet, intimate, and perfect.

Tonight was special; it was our anniversary, and I had a plan that would sweep Maaya off her feet.

As I heard the soft click of the door behind me, my heart raced.

Maaya stepped out, her silhouette framed against the fading light, her hair catching the last rays of sun like spun gold.

She wore a simple white dress that danced around her knees, and I couldn’t help but smile.
“Hey, Aarav!” she called, her voice bright and musical, slicing through the evening’s tranquility. “What are you up to?”

“Just admiring the view,” I replied, gesturing towards the skyline. “And waiting for my beautiful wife to join me.”

Her laughter rang out, a sweet sound that made my chest swell with affection.

“You’re too sweet. What’s with the charm tonight? Did you forget it’s our anniversary?”

I chuckled, feigning innocence. “Forget? Never! I’ve been planning something special for you.”

“Oh? Yeah I know” she tilted her head, curiosity sparkling in her eyes. “What is it? Tell me!”

“Patience, my love. First, I wanted to share this moment with you.” I stepped closer, pulling out a small velvet box from my pocket.

“I have a little something for you.”

Her eyes widened, and she clasped her hands together. “Aarav! You didn’t have to!”
“But I wanted to,” I insisted, kneeling down and opening the box to reveal a stunning diamond necklace.

The diamonds caught the evening light, shimmering like stars caught in a night sky.
“Wow…” she gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. “It’s beautiful!”

“Just like you,” I said, my voice softening. I reached up and gently placed the necklace around her neck, my fingers brushing against her skin. “I thought it would go perfectly with your dress.”
She turned to the mirror on the wall, her expression a mixture of surprise and joy.

She spun around to face me, her eyes glistening.
“Thank you, Aarav. This means so much to me.”
I stood up, feeling a rush of warmth at the sight of her happiness. “You’re worth every effort I put into it, Maaya.”
“Okay, Mr. Romantic,” she teased, stepping closer. “What’s next on your agenda?”

I took a deep breath, the night air filled with the scent of blooming jasmine. “Well, I thought we could have a little picnic under the stars. Just you and me, with all your favorite snacks.”
“Oh, you know me too well!” she laughed, her voice ringing out like a bell. “I’m in!”
As I spread the blanket on the rooftop, I felt a familiar thrill. The city lights twinkled like distant stars, and for a moment, it felt like we were in our own little world. “You know, I’ve been thinking,” I said, reaching for a pack of her favorite cookies.
“About what?” she asked, her eyes sparkling.

“About how lucky I am. I mean, I get to spend my life with you.” I chuckled, trying to keep my tone light. “And how I need to step up my game to keep you around.”

“Ah, I don’t know about that,” she smirked, taking a bite of a cookie. “You’re doing pretty well so far.”

“Just wait until you see what I have planned for later!” I winked, unable to hide my excitement.

Her eyebrow raised in playful skepticism.

“You’re not going to pull a surprise party on me, are you? Because I’m not sure I can handle that kind of excitement!”

“Nothing like that, I promise. Just a little surprise for later tonight.” I leaned back on the blanket, my heart fluttering with anticipation.

“But for now, let’s just enjoy each other’s company.”

We sat in comfortable silence, munching on snacks, watching the stars begin to twinkle in the darkening sky. I felt her warmth beside me, the way her laughter filled the air, and I couldn’t help but steal glances at her, marveling at how lucky I was.

As the night deepened, I felt a shift in the air. I could sense the tension building, the moments leading to the grand reveal.

“Maaya,” I began, my voice serious, “there’s something I want to ask you.”

Her laughter faded, replaced by a look of intrigue. “What is it?”

I took her hand, holding it tightly. “No matter what surprises I have planned tonight, the biggest one is that I want to keep building our future together. You’re my everything.”

She squeezed my hand, her expression softening. “Aarav, you know I want that too.”

“Then let’s make this anniversary the start of something even more beautiful.”

Before starting my plans for the rest of the night all I am asking you to keep and open mind of everything that's going to happen and keep enjoying everything as much as you could.

I did my best to make sure you will love everything but still if anything hurts you I'm really sorry in advance.

Her smile lit up the night, and in that moment, I knew we were destined for so much more than just love; we were family, bound by care, laughter, and endless adventures.

I know you have put so much effort into this no matter what I know I will love every part of your plan .

So you need not worry about anything and just execute whatever you have planned and I am really excited about what is to come.
