8 : Eddie

The groups, excluding Hecate, yelps as the van runs over a bump, jostling them all. Hecate stops the van harshly, jolting them again, in front of a large white building.

"At least we lost Indominus." Darius says, "Now... where do we go?"

Bumpy groans as she settles herself on the floorboard, "How about into the genetics lab?" He says and everyone, except Hecate per usual, looks at him in shock, "It's a gift."

Hecate chuckles as she steps out. The others follow quickly after. The doors hiss as they open. They all yell as a man in a birthday hat runs at them with a baseball bag. Hecate catches the bat with one hand and punches the man with her dominant one. The scientist falls back, holding his now bloody nose, as Hecate cradles her arm and groans.

Hecate grabs the bat and hands it off to Brooklynn before grabbing a shirt from the bag and pressing it to the man's nose, "Sorry about that..." She says before stopping and looking at his name tag, "..Eddie. you startled me." She pulls the shirt back, "The blood has stopped so you'll be fine. Only some slight pain for a few hours."

He nods, "I'm sorry too, you're the only people I've seen all day. You're Hecate, right? I was there during the experiment with Dr. Wu."

"Yeah, that's me." She says.

"Again, we are so happy we found you. Things are crazy! There's a giant camouflaged dinosaur out there. Also, regular dinosaurs. We've been hoping to find someone--" Sammy rambles.

Eddie cuts her off, "You're sure you closed the door behind you, right?"

"Yeah, it's closed, Eddie," Hecate says, reassuring the man.

Kenji belches, making them look over at him eating a piece of cake, "Sorry? Did you want it back?"

"You know what? Doesn't matter. The dinosaurs got out and no one bothered to tell me; they just ran. So, why not? Knock yourself out." Eddie says. Hecate huffs, this man is definitely losing it.

"Ugh! There's no dial tone!" Brooklynn exclaims, slamming a phone down.

"The landlines are down. So is the radio, and cell phone service keeps cutting out."

"But the park obviously has a plan. So, what's that plan? What do we do?" Yaz asks.

"You–you're asking me?" Eddie yells before laughing manically.

"Is that, like, a good freaky laugh?" Kenji mutters.

"Do you not get it? We're doomed. No one is coming to help!"

"But what about Dr. Wu, or--"

"Wu? Who do you think is to blame? Wu got greedy. And instead of dinosaurs, he built monsters!" The man yells, "Masrani, Dearing, they're all clueless about what's really going on here. And after everything I did for the other guys..."

"Other guys? What other--" Hecate asks but is cut off. She hates it when people do that.

"It doesn't matter, does it? Jurassic World isn't a park. It's a powder keg, and it is detonating all around us! We're all going down. End of story!"

"No, you have to know what to do. You're an adult!" Darius exclaims.

"Stop being so fucking naive, Darius! Adults don't always have the answers, okay!? Adults aren't some damn gods that are on higher pedestals than us! Sópa, Dareío!" Hecate shouts and everyone goes quiet.
(Shut the fuck up, Darius!)

'But we drove all the way here 'cause--" Sammy says.

"Wait you have a vehicle!?" Eddie asks before running outside. Hecate watches as Yasmina runs after him.
