A thud rings out as she throws her bag down with a sigh.

"Justin?" She calls out. A middle-aged man's head peeks around the car with a smile.

"Hecate," he whines, drawing out the girl's name, "can you just call me Dad? Just once before you go?"

Hecate sighs again, "I might." She smirks as Justin frowns slightly with a pout, "You're going to get lines from how hard you're frowning."

"And who's fault is that?" He snarks back sarcastically. "Hecate? C'mere."

She walks over and sees Justin at the back of the car. He has a small pistol in his hand along with a case of bullets.

"I taught you how to use many different guns and you're going to an island filled with dinosaurs. I don't want you going without protection..." He stops for a moment and turns his head to look at Hecate, "can I trust you with this?" He motions with the gun.

Hecates eyes widen. Shes lived with Justin for a few years now and has been taught much by him but still, this was a huge responsibility. Especially since she's only 15. She nods shakily and he smiles.

"Good. I'll put it in you bag along with a few cases of bullets. Don't let anyone see and only use it if your life is truly in danger, do you understand me?"

Hecate nods her head harshly as her breathe quickens in excitement. This is a huge deal to her. Her dad throws the rest of Hecates bags in the bag before slamming it closed. They both climb in and Justin pulls out the parking lot, starting their long trip.

...

The ride is quiet for the most part, the only sounds being from the radio and occasional humming or tapping from Hecate. At one point the two had switched spots. Hecate has her permit so thankfully neither of them broke any laws when she drove for a couple hours, giving Justin a chance to sleep.

Now, Hecate stands next to five other kids near a large truck. She adjusts her bag that's slung over her shoulder then stops as she remembers what's inside.

"Welcome to Isla Nublar, campers. You are the chosen few, the first kids in the entire world to ever experience the awesomeness that is Camp Cretaceous. I know, the trip from the mainland was rough on some. Hello, Ben." A man says as he stands in front of them. He motions slightly to a boy hunched over retching, presumably, Ben, "But you made it! I'm Dave, head counselor. You heard that correctly; head honcho, big shot." Dave says.

Hecate looks around at the other kids, a familiar face making a smile instantly appear on her face. She walks over to Yasmina and nudges her.

"What're you doing here, Mina?" She asks, their hands brushing together.

"Well Jurassic World has been sponsoring me, they said I could go. Remember that trip I told you about?" Yaz says and Hecate nods, "I was talking about Camp Cretaceous. What are you doing here?"

"A reward thing for placing at Nationals. All expenses paid. They said im just here to relax." She chuckles, "it's good we can relax together, yea? I didn't think I'd be able to survive without you." Hecate says playfully. She leans her body into Yasminas, grabbing her hand.

Hecates, along with the others, head turns when tires screech behind her. A woman jumps out hurriedly and takes her place beside Dave.

"Ah, so sorry I'm late." The woman says, her voice carrying a British accent, "Welcome, campers! I'm Roxie, head counselor of Camp Cretaceous." This statement causes many of them to raise an eyebrow.

"Well, it's sort of a co-head counselor sort of situation." Dave says

"Is it?" Roxie asks, immediately shutting him down. She clears her throat before continuing, "Anyway, some of you won contests to be here, some of you had VIP invites, but for the next two weeks, all of you will be getting the five-star treatment! As our first campers, we've lined up exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Jurassic World."
