"Hey Lily, come in." Liliena greets softly opening the front door wider for the redhead woman to come in with her arms full of a sleeping Harry and his travel bag hanging from her shoulders. "James is still out with Monty and Euphemia, but I'll show you his room."
Quietly Liliena wobbles towards Harry's bedroom which was the first door down the hall. Liliena and James' were at the farthest end and the middle room was the destined nursery for all three babies until they were old enough to be separated.
Lily moves quickly, carefully sliding Harry into his dark blue painted wooden child-size bed while Liliena pulls back the covers for her and collects Harry's glasses as they hang dangerously in Lily's hands while she awkwardly manhandles the child into bed. Sound asleep, Harry snuggles into his pillows upon impact and Lily was easily able to cover him in his blanket and set his travel bag onto Harry's miniature table that was in the room. She quickly unzips the bag grabs the large stuffed black dog out of it and sets it in a spot easy for Harry to find it he woke up.
"The room is quite lovely," She compliments quietly taking in the room while moving in a slow circle. "I'm sure Harry appreciates the room when he's awake. Certainly, the rainbow stickers and clouds I bet."
Liliena nods silently nodding towards so they can talk better out in the living space or kitchen. Liliena was sure to turn on the small nightlight on the nightstand, a warm-lit rainbow floating on two clouds that were just bright enough to reach Harry's face from his spot on his bed.
The two women tiptoe out of the bedroom, Lily being sure to leave Harry's door slightly cracked open as they move back out to the living space. Liliena makes her way to the kitchen, finishing up washing the plate of her late-night snack of the Mother's Day cake.
"Sorry for arriving so late. But then again I thought James would be here already from his Mother's Day extravagant day. I tried calling him, but no answer. I only assumed seeing the van outside." Lily softly apologises with a small grimace.
"Don't worry about it, his phone probably died. They took Monty's car, not the van," Liliena tells her with a smile waving her off gently. "Seriously. As long as Harry arrived already knocked out, I'm fine. James warned me he doesn't do well falling asleep in new places and has to do a recital thing only he is able to do. We only got lucky with the trip down to see his parents a while back at the rental because Harry fell asleep in the car."
"Do you want help with that?" Lily awkwardly asks eyeing the dish that was nearly clean to her swollen bump that was in the way. "I got it, but thanks for the offer... Did Euphemia apologise to you yet?"
"She did," Lily tells her with a nod leaning on one of the counters. "It was painful, on her behalf anyway."
"And what did you decide on? I only told her I'd fully accept her apology if she had done with you. Seeing she'd pull out on her end, either way, I'll be accepting the apology anyway."
"I, uh, didn't really accept it. But I did. If that makes sense."
"Seeing it was five years overdue, you do have all rights to it," Liliena tells her with a shrug, setting the dish onto the drying rack. "If I never said anything, I'm quite sure she'd never apologise to you. So truly, you have that right. She's apologising to you like a kid being scolded to apologise to another they'd hit purposely. They don't mean it. She might not tell it to me either. But seeing James was on the line, Harry as well and soon enough her other three grandkids, it was her family she was going to lose."
Lily's eyebrows shoot up. "James? He has part of this?"
"He wasn't speaking to her. Only Monty, which is why I'm on better terms with him than her. I never asked him to, but he did it anyway."
