Chapter 53

Liliena couldn't help but smile as she watched James drive the large van containing herself and him, with Eupehmia and Fleamont and Hope in the backseat with Harry who was chatting among himself beside Fleamont about who knows what with music faintly playing against the van's stereo. Her hands were resting peacefully on her bump as she rested her head back on the headrest of her seat.

"Is it weird to say I'm rather eager about this appointment?" James asks out of the blue on the drive.

"Depends."Liliena murmurs. "What are you eager about?"

He shrugs. "Everything in general. Like, this isn't a usual checkup where we're worrying about the good and bad but it'll mostly give us the details we can't see in the ultrasound we have with Doctor Sprout."

Liliena looks at him with a raised eyebrow. "So you're eager to see what the babies look like?"

James grimaces at her words. "When you say it like that-"

"You are. Just say it."

He puffs out a sigh but keeps his eyes on the road. "I am."

Liliena couldn't help but pinch his cheek with a grin. "There. Was that so heard?"

"You're making it so." James teases batting her hand away carefully steering with one hand.

"Oh hush, you."

They fall quiet with the music playing as James pulls into the parking lot twenty-five minutes early from the scheduled appointment. To Liliena's surprise, she spots the one that was the compact car she had with Regulus, which was the only familiar car in the lot signalling that Regulus was here with possibly Barty and Evan.

"Regulus is here." She announces to the group as the doors open and everyone files out. She quickly spots the blonde boy already outside and on the phone. The compact car also begins to unload, indeed all three men filing out to group up with Liliena's group.

Regulus gains speed into a small jog to catch and help Liliena out of the van before she attempts to do it herself as James helps Harry get unbuckled already seeing Regulus help Liliena. Fleamont was struggling with Harry's car seat and in the process, Hope and Euphemia had already gotten out of the van. "Ready to see your brothers and sister, budo?" James asks Harry unsnapping the final buckle to his car seat getting him out and on the pavement.

Harry nods eagerly bright-eyed at his question. "Yeah!"

"I'm surprised to see you here," Liliena tells Regulus trying not to put too much weight on him as he helps.

"Me too." He tells her unamused. "Evan's rather persuasive on me and Barty. He's on the phone with Pandora, she's gotten lost on the way here. You know how she is." He points over to where Evan leaned on the nose of the car with one hand wildly pointing at everyone while the other held the phone to his ear. Barty still remained in the car, head leaning against the window.

Liliena rolls her eyes. "Always going by gut than GPS."

"Exactly. I think Evans is with her, by the way."

That caught James's attention as he latched onto Harry's hand lightly tugging him to Regulus. "Lily's coming?"

"She's with Pandora and Luna, also Draco. I don't think Narcissa will make it though, something about a charity event she had to attend which is why Draco is with them." Liliena nods as an old car pulls in.

The car stops in front of the group and two windows on the side roll down showing a root-growing Teddy in the back seat behind Remus who was driving. In the passenger seat was Sirius who was focused on fiddling with the knob to the radio. Liliena gives Remus a light smile seeing Sirius in the car, evidently, knowing Remus had apologized and listened to hear Sirius out.
