"I - I honestly, Moony-"
"Don't call me that." Remus growls.
"Pron- I mean, James, he didn't say anything. Just... that we needed to... and that he needed to finish speaking..." Sirius' eyes flashed red. "That bloody wanker, he bloody knew-"
"Knew what?" Remus asks darkly. "Bit thick to think I wanted to talk to you after all these years. I could've seemed you out myself if I wanted a chat."
"You didn't..." Sirius squirms in a spot under Remus' dark looks and along with Regulus'. Liliena didn't like him either, but she tried to stay neutral for the sanity of herself and Sirius's. Sirius directs himself to only look at Remus. "You never said bye or that you were leaving."
"Wasn't given the chance to," Remus grumbles leaving the door but keeping it open. He limps over to Regulus. "Need it, already been having a bad flare-up today."
Regulus eyes Remus weary. Remus only rolls his eyes. "I promise I will use it as a cane and not a hitting stick."
Slowly and cautiously, Regulus hands it over. The limp was bad, both Liliena and Regulus could see it. But it didn't mean that they trusted him with the cane. "I'm keeping you on your word, or else I'll make sure Liliena or anyone on that matter won't bail you out."
Remus set the bottom point of the cane on the floor, giving Regulus a look, and moved back into the kitchen without a following word pulling out four mugs for tea. "James is coming back, I presume?" Liliena asks Sirius approaching the open door, where Sirius stays outside.
"He's just going to drop Harry off at the bookshop with Lily and Mary. The... noise scared Harry, and quite frankly, me."
"Good," Remus mutters from the kitchen. "You put a dent in my door!" Liliena scolds Remus from the doorway to the kitchen.
"Better the door than a person." Sirius tries to joke rocking on his heels. Liliena opens the door as if it wasn't wide open before. "Coming in? I'm only letting you in if James is coming back."
"Can I?" Sirius asks carefully eyeing the line of the entrance door.
"I'm giving you a twenty-minute time limit. James doesn't show up, I'm kicking you out. That's my deal, take it or leave it."
Sirius carefully enters, observing the flat and the plentiful space it provides. Most of the decor around the living and kitchen space was all on Regulus, Liliena simply had handed over their card and told him to make himself at home, which he did just.
Remus manages to pour three cups out of four with tea before setting the settle down with stiff body language. Moving through the flat as quick as he could with his cane his wallet was shoved into his back pocket and keys dangled from his middle finger.
"Where are you going?" Liliena asks him as he moves to the door.
"Anywhere but here," Remus answers without looking back. "Have fun, Reg."
With that, he leaves all while slamming the door to show his anger was still fueled. Probably for the best, Liliena told herself with a sigh. Both brothers were glaring at each other from a respectable distance. "Why can't you leave too? I much rather Moon- Remus here than you."
"I'd like to leave too," Regulus scowls. "Unfortunately, this is my place, and dreadfully you now know where I live."
"Your place?" Sirius says with disbelief looking at the light-decorated areas, Regulus vowed to want the space to be filled with light colours instead of the range of colours of monotones. His lip curls unpleasantly. "I find that hard to believe."
