Chapter 59

James pulls into their driveway and parks the van. A long week had been spent in the hospital before Liliena got discharged, a long week trapped in the four walls with mostly James to help her change her own diaper which she found humiliating and refused his help opting out for the nurse that was assigned to her room. Even if she had given birth via c-section she was still experiencing the bleeding of a vaginal birth.

And that made Liliena wonder why people say a c-section was the easy way out of giving birth. If anything in Liliena's eyes Pandora who had an unmedicated birth made seemed flawless. Even Narcissa who had a medicated birth, still vaginal, look less of a hassle in contrast to surgery when Liliena had visited her after Draco was a few hours old and during visiting hours. Whoever says c-section births are the easy way out can be damned.

Most to her surprise, by the second night in the hospital Pheonix and Echo were able to leave the NICU area and stay with Liliena in her own room in the recovery unit for mothers who had already given birth. They were just waiting on Cove to wean off the oxygen which was hopefully going to soon in approximately a week or less but anything could happen as warned.

James had decided before the boys were able to stay with them unsupervised for the most part that Harry's first time to see his siblings were better off at home when Lily would bring him over. It was just the easier way to allow Liliena to rest and recover and focus the first days of life on the triplets.

The first night with two of three was hectic for them. Liliena as a new parent still had to learn about things and breastfeeding was taking a slight toll on being awake to feed them while stored away breastmilk went to the NICU for Cove. All three babies were able to latch on with ease though Cove was showing favouritism to the bottles than Liliena. Though it was Liliena's goal to hopefully have all three babies to take both breast and bottle, Echo was the only one who refused a bottle while Pheonix would rather take a bottle with a certain nipple showing Liliena that Pheonix was the pickiest baby of the three already.

Liliena was surprised when she was able to get discharged with the two baby boys, even with their weight and size being the smallest in contrast to their sister they were gaining well enough to be discharged as well instead of James and Liliena leaving the hospital babyless as she expected. She was then grateful for James's frantic nesting for getting things ready such as the car seats and pram set in his van which he had to leave the hospital momentarily to collect from Sirius's flat. Other than that he rarely refused to leave Liliena's side, Hope and Lyall as well as Fleamont and Euphemia made a turn routine to deliver homemade food for the couple for breakfasts and dinners leaving lunch to be sandwiches with snacks on the side already in the hospital.

The pram was designed to hold four children but is adaptable to keep the infant seats connected while leaving one opening to put Harry in when he didn't want to walk on their bonding morning outings. It was the one few things James got truly excited about when they found the pram. So he could take all his children out to suffer for a morning run without the struggle of pushing two prams instead of one.

So many times Liliena had woken up with a startle to find Harry's beady green eyes glaring at her quietly behind his glasses staring at her while she slept in bed at home. While he obeyed James's instructions not to wake Liliena up, it didn't stop him from glaring at her in the dark noiselessly Then he proceeded to complain the moment her eyes opened that he was up so early from James and how unfair it was for Liliena to still be sleeping forcing Liliena no choice but to get up as well rather than complaining to her and leaving. He just stayed and nagged, often more than not he'd climb onto the bed and hold Liliena's bump to stare and talk to the babies, also while still complaining and nagging at Liliena to get up. In other words, Harry James Potter is a morning person, but not the getting up at the crack of dawn person. Eight in the morning was his earliest. Ten, his latest.
