Chapter 3-The Contract

''It was a wish for a greater tomorrow. 

Without Pain, Fear and Disgust.''

The brown haired man was sitting on his desk, looking through some plans for the new prototype of duel disk he was working on. Scrolling through different kinds of notes about the project and the updates on the construction, Seto sighed softly.

Work has been slower than usual lately. It seemed the entire place was getting slower at work. Maybe he should fire a couple of workers? That would make everyone else work better and more efficiently. And if some of them didn't get back to working correctly, he could fire them and find better people to take their jobs.

Kaiba Corp must stand strong and tall, he wouldn't let anything happen to it, not as long as he was alive and able to fight back. Besides, holding Kaiba Corp at the top was also for Mokuba. His little brother deserved everything he wished for. He was ready to get to the end of the world for him.

When he called for Roland to get a couple names of the most useless workers, he was answered by Fugata, Roland's friend and the only other person Seto was able to trust at the company.

''Where is Roland?''

Seto's voice was cold and he knew it. He never bothered to appear kind or friendly. He learned at a young age that it wouldn't help him get what he wanted. He had to be cunning and sly. Cold and unbothered. Heartless and mean.

So he acted like it. Even though he truly didn't care much about all his employees, Roland and Fugata were people he truly looked after. They were the only people who proved to him, on multiple occasions, that they were loyal to him and to him only.

Seto truly had no idea how he was able to get two fated followers like them, he didn't really care, but he was thankful for them though.

The only person who was able to see through his cold facade and hard expression was Mokuba. The Kaiba Angel. The teenager who cared about his older brother, his role model, his idol. Mokuba and Seto had a strong relationship that has been built with time.

Seto truly had no idea how he would be able to keep fighting and living if it weren't for Mokuba. The boy wasn't simply a ray of sunshine, he was the sun, shining through his world, illuminating the universe.

''I'm sorry, Mr. Kaiba. Roland left about five minutes ago after he receive a text that seemed important.''

As soon as Fugata stopped talking, the doors to the office opened and a woman came in. She was wearing all red and black outfits. A necklace with a Red Eyes Black Dragon around her neck. Her head was held high as she walked further towards Kaiba and Fugata.

''Who are you and how did you get here?''

Seto was surprised at the sudden appearance. He wasn't waiting for any business partner, his schedule was supposed to be free for the next couple of hours. So who was this woman, who seemed either extremely dumb or extremely courageous, Seto was still trying to decide.

''I am Y/n L/n, CEO of L/n Corp. As for how I am here right now. My bodyguard turned out to be married to yours. Roland, isn't that right?''

Y/n smirked as she looked at Seto in his very blue eyes. She took a couple more steps.

''I'll go straight to the point, your time is as precious as mine.''

Seto's eyebrows raised at that. This woman seemed to be much smarter than she appeared. Besides, he knew L/n Corp very well, he heard many rumors going on about its CEO, the Red Lady. He suddenly grew curious at the point of the visit.
