''He trusted her, with his life, with his heart, with Mokuba.

That proved to her that she could trust him back. Because Trust is Mutual.''

When Y/n opened her eyes, in the morning, Seto was looking at her, dark circles under his eyes that were red from not having slept. She gasped as she saw him, sat up in a flash and took his hand in hers.

''Are you okay? What happened?''

Her face was so innocent, as she looked at him worriedly. He felt a stab in his heart as he remembered how he doubted her. She might have killed them, her adoptive parents, and the men that abused her on that boat, and a couple of servants too, maybe. He couldn't care less.

She was the one who showed him how life could actually be more than work and Mokuba. She was the one who made his heart warm again. She was his light, the thief that stole his heart. And most important, she was his. The fact that she had blood on her hand wouldn't stop him from loving her.

''Their is some news circulating about you, Red. It's about something they say you've done.''

The expression that falls on Y/n's face is like nothing Seto has ever seen before. She looks almost haunted, empty as if she was void of emotions.

''They found out.''

Seto looks at her as her eyes widen, as pain and fear flashes through her irises. At that moment, Seto stared at her, reading her like he always did with people he was working with. He was trying to find if she was being honest, truthful.

When he nodded in approbation of what she had said, he observed her reaction to his answer. She lets out a long sigh and Seto can feel the weight being pulled from Y/n shoulder, both in relief and with fear.

''Of course they did.''

Seto didn't feel surprised when she smiled at him. It wasn't a bright one however, it was sad and with some pain.

''I believe you would like some explanations?''

It was some very weird feelings that took place in his chest, kind of happiness to see she was ready to open up to him, a bit of unease at the thought of his girlfriend killing people. But most importantly, agitation.

She seemed genuine. He probably could trust her. After all, she trusted him with part of her past she had never told anyone before. He stayed staring at her as her smile stayed on her face. It wasn't one of her fake ones. It was a real one. She was glad, she looked glad. She also seemed free, as if the weight of that secret had crushed her for years.

Suddenly, he remembered her first night at the Estate, when she had gone to get a midnight snack and he had followed after her, believing she was Mokuba.

''I have a question for you. It's been spinning in my head for a long time and I am unable to find the answer for it.''

Y/n hummed, pulling the fork out of her mouth before smiling at him. She knew, by the way he was scowling to himself, that something was going on in his head. She does the same thing when something is annoying her.

''What is it that's been bothering you?''

Seto looked at the woman standing in front of him, smiling and enjoying another bite or her cheesecake.

''What happened to your adoptive parents?''

The woman chokes before coughing out, taken aback by the straight-forwardness. Her head raises up ever so slightly to meet Seto's curious eyes.
