''She might've been a serial killer but, at least, she was his.''
Before he could think of an efficient solution to help his girlfriend, his conscience tried to have a conversation with him. Loving a murderer? Protecting her? What if she was dangerous? She was broken, so she was messed up. And fucked up people are never predictable, so they are danger.
It did feel weird. The entire thing was rushed. It felt so wrong. So so wrong. To want to help her? To support her? To be there for her sister too? It didn't feel like something he normally would. Seto felt so confused it annoyed him.
Ever since Y/n appeared in his life, it felt like he was pulled out of his life and placed in another dimension. He has tried to walk through those new people, those new feelings. It's been so hard for him, he could barely recognize the man he has become.
He was slightly kinder, not to everyone of course, but to her, to Roland and to his wife. He had started respecting Miranda, started enjoying Y/n childish behaviour. He started being happy because of her and her assistant. They had changed him, yes, but he had become a greater person. He could finally make Mokuba smile like how it was years ago. He could finally smile himself, not because of some business deals he had gotten, but because he wanted to.
So, yes, it felt wrong to want to be there for someone who killed her adoptive parents, but the fact that she is ready to stop everything for him? If he asks of her? That fucking got him good. He was feeling so happy to have someone so powerful at his feet. Even though he knew very well that he was just like that for her too.
So, he wasn't going to stop. He would never let anyone get in his way. He could never let anyone separate them. He finally found someone to make him enjoy life again. He finally found someone who could understand her. He found someone similar to him in so many beautiful and ugly ways. And it made him happy, it made him feel human again.
He wasn't a toy that his adoptive father was controlling. He wasn't some object that allowed Gozaburo Kaiba to gain more power. He was Seto. Just Seto. A lucky man who had found himself a lady to help him withstand the hits of the world. And he would never let her go. NEVER.
That lady was so incredible. He was sure she had stolen his heart, his intelligence and his logic because he could never think straight when he was beside her. It didn't matter if she was wearing a dress with her hair made up to perfection and her face features delicately popping up because of her talents in makeup. He would still lose his mind if she was in pajamas, her hair flying in all directions and with bags underneath her eyes.
He would love her if she was a worm, a mouse, a cat, a dog, a fish. He would love even if she was the sun, even if she would burn him. He would love her no matter the time. He would love her in any other dimensions and spaces. He would love her more and more every single day. And he was ready to do it all for her. To kidnap, to hurt. Even to kill. So he understood her.
Because you rarely find people in the world who react when they see people hurt. Because instead of looking and searching and helping people in need, humans look away. Because all creatures on Earth are afraid of what is unknown. He knew that no one would have saved her or found a way to pull her out of her misery.
He was proud of her. For standing up for herself, for saving and protecting who she loved. For killing, destroying those who made her hurt. He was so proud of her he felt his chest tighten with happiness.
But that pride wouldn't help him find a solution for their problem. So Seto pushed down the feeling and looked at his hand, laying on top of his silver laptop. He was currently unable to think of anything that would be good enough to keep Y/n safe like he promised her.
