''Domino City is a wonderful place.
You'll 'enjoy' your time there, I'm sure.''
It was a beautiful day in Domino City, the sun was shining, the wind was cool and soft, making Y/n's shiny h/l h/c hair fly around her face. People who passed by her seemed to know to stay out of her way. Because, even with all the joy and happy conversations happening around her, Y/n L/n couldn't find it in her to be delighted.
The woman, even though she should've been in a happy mood, was on a phone call.
And, well, phone calls and workaholics were never, EVER a good match. Especially when said workaholic was dealing with a company full of idiots and the maids and servants at her manor weren't able to understand a single order given to them.
S/n's birthday was in only three weeks and Y/n wanted the birthday to be the most wonderful one her sister had ever had. But when you order servants to make the calls for flowers, dresses and toys to be delivered at the manor in a couple of days, everything seems to go south!
''I always have to do all the work myself, what a bunch of ignorant fools!''
Even though Y/n wished, with all her might, to change the servants and maid at her manor, S/n was against it. The younger sibling had become quite friendly with everyone working with them. Also making the workers wish to stay for the bright eyed-young girl.
It also didn't help that when she had just ended the call to the dress shop, finally putting an end to the misadventure of S/n's birthday gifts, she received a call from the only efficient worker she had. Her driver, bodyguard and also confidant, Miranda.
Now, you see, Miranda was the only loyal person Y/n had at her office. That woman, strong enough to beat twenty men on her own, was also smart enough to fix so many problems of the Corporation on her own. She had been by Y/n's side for over eight years now and she knows exactly how Y/n worked.
She was reaching thirty-two years in a couple of months, married without any kids, her husband and her didn't wish to have any, both also being very busy with their work. Her hair was black, her black eyes were the only thing on the entire planet to make Y/n L/n scared.
The fearless and heartless CEO had two weaknesses. The first being her younger sister, S/n, and the second being Miranda's anger. It hadn't happened more than three or four times, but Y/n would never be able to forget how dangerous her bodyguard looked. And two times, it wasn't against her, fortunately.
Miranda was like Y/n's best-friend. She knew what Y/n wanted without the CEO having to say it. Sometimes, before the CEO even knew she wanted or needed it. She was always beside Y/n when the girl needed it, helping her and comforting her. Miranda was like Y/n's mother, except they both wouldn't accept the terms.
Miranda because she knew it would be very weird to work for someone she considers her daughter. Y/n because she didn't want people to know how much she cared for the older lady. She was already targeted, along with S/n, because of her money and fame, she didn't need people going after Miranda too. Even though Y/n was very confident of Miranda's fighting techniques. She would feel bad for the person who had to face Miranda's wrath.
Anyways, back to the subject at hand, after an annoyingly long call to the dress shop, the flower shop, a couple of toy stores and an immense amount of threats coming from the h/c haired lady, the CEO had finally secured the most important things for her sister's birthday.
She only had the time to put her phone in her back pocket when it rang. She picked it up again, making sure not to drop her purse, the five documents she was holding and her very precious Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino.
