When contestant number 10 had emerged from the water, Natalie knew it was her turn. She turned to Bishop and Cara her fingers crossed in luck before she took her flare and made her way up the cliff side.

She stopped at the first platform turning towards the crowd, "Contestant number 11, state your name" Diggins yelled up to her. She hadn't replied as she was looking over the edge of the cliff in fear. Diggins and most of the crowd seemed to notice, the host saying "Look, you're gonna have to jump or get down because we got people who've got to get up there."

Natalie getting annoyed by the impatient guy "For fuck's sake, Diggins just give me a minute okay?" She yelled down to him, "That's Natalie Williams, ray of sunshine" sarcasm lacing his voice, making some in the crowd laugh though Cara just brushed it off with a small yet playful roll of the eyes.

The crowd worked to encourage her, cheering her on this clearly working as she back up hesitantly before running forward and jumping off throwing the red flare. The crowd cheering loudly like they had for the last 10 contestants.

"Ladies and gentlemen we have another one." Diggins cheered. Next was Dodge, He walked up the hill the low red light illuminating his strong frame. Cara was almost mesmerized as he stared at him watching his long stride. He walked right past the lookout point. "Ooh. Hot damn." Diggins said as everyone quietly watched him not wasting a glance at the first point.

"Looks like we have a second player trying for the high point." He continued as the crowd applauded. "I see the firecracker has some competition" He said looking back at Cara making her once again roll her eyes. Natalie had just got out of the cold water when she had turned and saw player number 12 walking up the rocky hill. She turned back around walking back over to us; "Great job Nat" Cara and Bishop praised she mumble a "thanks" before the trio quickly looked back to the recent contestant.

"Contestant number 12, state your name" Diggins said right on cue as Dodge had made it to the smaller and rockier platform. He stayed quiet for a second and Cara heard some people almost booing him not believing that he'd jump, hearing this made her annoyed and mad, for some reason. Growing slightly impatient Diggins said, "State your name." Though he was cut off by Dodge yelling his name in a gruff flat tone, a deep furrow in his brow.

He threw the smoking flare into the water, making it somewhat hard to see him before he took a breath, following after it with a splash, the crowd cheering and clapping. Cara found herself clapping as well. "That's player 12, making it look easy from the high jump. Way to keep raising the stakes, Dodge." Diggins said as contestant 12 began to swim to the shore.

Dodge walked out of the water and back over to his stuff that was sitting on a rock. Cara couldn't help but, watch as he walked seeing the way he looked. Somehow looking better then he usually did when he was dry. And her friends took notice "Cara stop drooling and just go and talk to him" Bishop said nudging her pulling her out of her trance like state Natalie nodded along, she glared playfully at them though she did swipe her mouth too make sure she really wasn't.

Cara walk over to him, her towel still over her shoulders. "I guess this means we're tied" She said looking up at the brunet with a small. "I guess so" he said looking over to her with a similar smirk, "But I don't have a cool nickname like you firecracker" He said with a chuckle.

"Yeah i mean it must because i'm just the better competitor" The girl said sarcastically "Oh yeah of course it must be" Dodge said flatly and upon seeing the mock annoyance his face Cara started laughing the boy joining in as her angelic laugh seemed to be contagious.

"No okay i think i have the perfect nickname for you." She said still a little giggly. "Oh yeah and what's that?" Dodge spoke his tone lighter and a small smile still plastered on his face "How about...." Cara thought for a second. "Princess" Cara stated making the taller boy laugh "Princess?" He questioned through his laughter.

Cara looked at him almost incredulously at his reaction "Yes it's perfect it sums you up great" She said laughing along a little trying so hard to sound serious. "You know princesses are kind, pretty, can talk to animals and you are like quiet, and dark and brooding. pretty much the same" Cara says trying to hold back her laugh as Dodge scoffed at her words in fake offense.

"I don't brood." He said, placing a hand to his chest really playing his mock annoyance. "Yes you do." Cara stated with a small gasp and another smile pushing onto her face. "Okay whatever" He said his tone remaining playful. As Cara was about to reply Natalie quickly ran over saying the last possible thing Cara could imagine "Heathers gonna compete" Cara's smile slipped from her "What." She said in shock, Cara looked back at Dodge. "yeah so I gotta go but, I'll see you around" The girl said still confused on what was even happening.

"Yeah, see you" He said with a nod, Natalie took Cara's arm and she quickly yelled "bye princess" as the walked ran over to Bishop. The taller boy shook his head with a quiet laugh his eye lingering on the girl. Natalie and Cara ran over to Bishop "Hey" Natalie said effectively scaring him. "Jesus" he muttered as Nat said "where the hell have you been?" She asked, "I-I had to pee, Okay?" The boy stuttered. "Calm down." He then said.

"Calm down? Heather" Natalie said pointing at the blonde girl who was now climbing the cliff. Heather stopped at the first jump looking over the water. "Contestant 23. State your name" Diggins said summer at his side. "Heather come down!" Natalie yelled up to her Bishop and Cara yelling softer, trying to reason "Heather."

"Come on Heathers" our host said. Heather's flare went out and the crowd was impatiently clapping to give her some courage and to hurry her along; some even yelling for her to hurry up. Heather stood on the ledge quietly, seeing something that no other could and looking over her shoulder to Devil's Drop. She grabbed another flare striking it and turning around starting to make her way up the mountain again as the crowd started mumbling in disbelief and most others plainly thinking she was crazy.

Cara, Natalie, and Bishop watched as she continued up the hill, "What is she doing?"Nat asked looking at Heather, "She playing" Bishop answered not pulling his eyes away from the girl. Cara was simply speechless as she was slightly scared for the blonde but more envious of her courage. "Oh my God she's going to Devil's Drop" Natalie breathed not believing it.

Heather climbed and climbed til she reached the top peak. "Are you sure you want to do this Heather? No harm in turning back. Uh you know, you've already made a real statement" The crowd started yelling telling her to just get down "Contestant 23 state your name" Diggins yelled up to her once she had stopped, despite the people's yelling. "Heather. Nill. Heather Nill" She said hesitantly looking down at him.

Heather backs up, running forward and into the air Cara quietly closed her eyes turning away only looking back when she heard a loud splash.
