𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮, the day was finally here; graduation. Cara had been waiting for this day since she was half way through sophomore year. No more old teachers that droned on and on, no more stuffy classrooms packed with kids. She was free. Not only does this day bring the horrible place that was high school it also meant that this year, this summer she could compete in Panic.
She knew everyone though she was crazy, not just for her love of the local game but, also her outgoing and fearless personality. She's also been called firecracker or something similar. Their principle continued to talk about the loss of Abby and Jimmy, a couple that died from last years game of Panic. When this news got out everyone was on edge, especially with the start of Panic being most likely days away. Except for one girl who, yes was sad that they had loss the couple to the game, couldn't help but still be extremally excited about the up coming event.
When Cara finally hears, "Caleb Levine-Anderson" she starts to cheer, watching her twin brother walk on stage. He gets his diploma and shakes our principle's hand and then walking passed her and off the stage. After him she calls "Cara Levine-Anderson" she gets up seeing her best friends, Heather, Nat, and Bishop cheering the loudest. She walks down the row of seats, walking tup the small steps on the side of the stage. Her short heels clacked against the stage and she smiled at her principle shaking her hand, taking her diploma and quickly walking off the stage and back to her seat sitting back with her friends.
More names were called and one that had sparked Cara's interest was "Dodge Mason" she knew the name from somewhere and when she saw the boy she knew he looked familiar, not to mention he was also super hot. 'Maybe a child actor or something' Cara thought going back to quietly whispering with her friends.
Two more people were called till we heard, "Bishop Moore." Nat, Heather, and Cara cheered super loud knowing it would embarrass him. He walked up to the stage rolling his eyes at us. He then came back with his diploma, "why do you guys love to torture me like that?" He asked jokingly as he sat down. "oh come on you know you love us" Cara replied with a small playfully smirk.
"Heather Nill" The cheering began again as the blonde walked on stage, getting her award and then coming back. This cycle continued for almost 40 minutes till we finally heard "Natalie Williams" she was one of the last students to be called but our cheers we just as loud. Once they got through all the students the principle called for the Valedictorian. Caleb walked on stage to give his Valedictory that he made Cara practice with him everyday.
Cara was proud of her brother but, having heard this speech 18 thousand times or at least sit felt like she had. She wasn't really listening. "we did it" and "good job everyone" were like the only parts she actually heard. She just clapped when ever one else did. After his speech the teachers all said something words of encouragement, the ceremony was finally over. Once the teens heard they could leave everyone started to pile out the door.
Cara, Nat, Heather, and Bishop walk out of the school, arm and arm as the band play a cheerful tune loudly. "This day could not come soon enough" Cara said getting nods and words of agreement from her friends before she saw her brother so she says. "I'll you guys in a little bit, bye" then, Running over to her twin brother, jumping on his back as he was turned around.
She heard an 'mhph' kind of noise come from him making her laugh "Aw my little brother is all grown up" she says playfully, pulling him down into a hug. "I'm older than you" he says with a groan, pulling away from her. "By like two minute" she says with a joking eye roll, pushing him away lightly. Once they see their parents, they quickly run over to them. They two parents take turns hugging the two, each saying "we are so proud of you too."
"Look at are little Valedictorian" Mallory said, as she pulled away from the boy and hers hug. Cara caught a glimpse of the familiar boy, the new kid, Dodge Mason walking with his who I assumed was his mom. When I saw Nat and Bishop waving me over. I turn back to my parents pointing over a the two saying, "Can I go?" I see my parents nod I quickly run over to them putting my arm around Bishop's shoulder, as we walk over to Heather.
Nat run over to her putting her hands on her saying "Giddyup, bitch, we're free." This scared her, she said "Oh hi" me and Bishop walkover closer laughing at her reaction as Bishop seemed to be messing with her cap. "Perfect." He said looking in her eyes. Cara gave Nat a knowing smirk before she said "All right, lets get out of here." They turned around saying "I'm so done with this place." Cara laughed in agreement "I think If I look at that old building for any longer I just might throw up" She say jokingly though she was somewhat serious.
They all take off their caps as Natalie started counted down "One" the other joining "two. three" They threw their caps up finally being free of this dumb school; summer officially starting.
