Cara woke up the next day, legs sore. She decided to walk into town knowing an ice, cold lemonade, and a visit from her favorite boy could be a good way to start the day. She rode her bike into town seeing the place decorated with paintball bullets. Cara hopped off her bike walking up to the brunette boy seeing him wipe away the paint.
"It's for the players ball." Cara said as she walked over to Dodge looking to the the paint. "Players' what?" He asked "The Players' Ball, it's a big party the emcee hosts for the players, it's a tradition." Cara explained. "Couldn't they have just sent an evite or something?" Dodge said continuing to wipe away paint.
"I don't know, I kind of like it though, you know it's more festive" The brunette shrugged. "But i can help." She continued, grabbing a rag. Turning to the window wiping away streaks of neon paint.
"You don't have to do that, it's alright" Dodge spoke continuing to wipe off smears of paint. "Do you want to do this alone?" Cara questioned, already knowing the answer. Hearing no response she nodded once, turning back towards the glass window. Glancing up at him through the reflection every few minutes, silently meeting his eyes.
