She hurt you, she caused all of that pain. She made you sick and scared. She is at fault, not you. Your own faith didn't cause this. Her mind was spinning as she stood there in a storm of sand and darkness. Doroteha did this. Not Fate, not The Mother, Not the Cauldron. Her. The storm grew stronger, ripping the blanket, curtains and some furniture apart. Freya forced her eyes closed, trying to hide from the destruction that happened around her.
This was her curse, one that Dorothea, her mother figure, her governess, her teacher, had made worse. If what they all said was true, she had destroyed her and others' lives.
She knew the Order's rules, and she had broken all of them. She had destroyed everything she claimed to stand for.
Freya's body gave out and she hit the floor, the storm calmed down around her.
"She did this to me." She managed to say. "She hurt me." Everything stopped moving around her. Freya opened her eyes, the destruction was a fact, most of the cabins' lower floor was just rubble, and in the middle of it all... She got up on shaky legs, stumbling over to Orion who laid there on the floor. His dark clothes ripped to shreds.
"Mother above..." She whispered and wrestled him to his back, so she could see the damage. No blood, but his skin had turned black and blue. "What have I done?" She whispered and pressed her hands to her face. "Orion?" Nothing. Freya crawled back from his body, shattered wood dug into her skin, drawing blood. Why had this become her life? Who would want her now? The male on the floor let out a painful moan and moved, one arm came around his side.
"Thank The Mother!" She gasped and crawled back, "I am so sorry!"
"Stop talking." The male said and sat up, his well trained and beaten body on full display as the remains of his clothes fell off. "I will heal." Freya didn't know where to look, she had read descriptions in her book, but this was her first time seeing a male like this.
"Forgive me, I.. I don't know what happened." She bowed her head, focusing on the floor, and the debris that filled it. "Forgive me..." Mother above, see my regret, see my fear and forgive me.
"It is fine..." He struggled to get up, Freya moved her head again. Making sure to not see something more than she wanted to. "You lost control, that happens." He snapped his fingers and a set of clothes appeared before him.
"I hurt you..."
"Magic can do that." He said back and got dressed. Freya got up too, walking over to a corner.
"I can't be around people if this happens again, I can't be a risk to others." Maybe that was why Dorothea had tried to keep her sick, to make sure that she wasn't a risk to others.
"You don't have to be." He snapped his fingers again and the sofa got partly fixed, "I can understand that things are difficult, and hard to process. But for your sake, accept the help and training that they want to give you. Even if you chose to live here for the rest of your life."
"Who can train me?" She asked back, "It is a curse, something Fate gave me as a punishment." Something that could hurt others, or even kill them. Freya sat back down on the floor, she didn't deserve this, not this warm house, the food, the help...
"One day." Orion got up from his seat, heavily leaning on his right side. She looked up at him, training to understand what he meant. "After I have healed, you can train with me for one day." He reached out his hand. "One day of training, and then I can leave you alone, if you want me to."
"Why?"
"One day is better than none. And I refuse to leave here without trying to help you." Freya looked at his hand, then up at his face. His dark eyes held hers in a strong stare. "One day is all I ask for, Freya." The name sounded forced from his lips.
