She was flying high among the clouds, everything was crystal clear. The stars, the clouds, even the air around her. She looked down to the mountains far below her. And there... A little figure sat and looked up, a child was sitting there. Slowly she moved towards the child, hoping to take them with her up in the amazing night sky. But she stopped before she could reach them. The light around her became brighter.
Not yet, little one. She smiled down, not yet.

She sat in the window, overlooking the afternoon sun outside. In her hands the letters she had written felt like lead. One for everyone in her family, as a gift for Starfall. Orion was going back to the city for the celebration, but she stayed once again. She was far from ready, far from being able to face them. To face herself again. Out here in the forest, hidden among the mountains, here she could hide, train and be as she still worked it all out.
She looked down on the letters, Nyx had been the first one she wrote, to the older brother. It had been easy, empty words about her wishing to one day learn who he was, and hopefully become a sister for real. The same with Ikarad, the Warrior. Then it became harder.
Orion had told her about Feyres and Tamlins story. It had taken them multiple nights before the fires, and some things started to make sense to her. Like how Tamlin had refused to tell her anything about the Night Court. She had struggled to say anything to Feyre, a mother. One in blood.
It is hard for me to grasp it. I have lived with so many lies over the years that this truly is changing the way I see the world. Don't hate me for taking this time.
That was how she had finished the letter, hoping to find some understanding from the female who had carried her. Then lastly it was Rhysand.
While she could write about her feelings around a long lost mother to Feyre, she was lost on where to start when it came to him. So she started in the only place she knew.

She wrote about how his name had been left out from her schooling, how she had looked for it, to fill a void.
Maybe I looked for it because I knew it was important, some way or the other. I knew that it was something I needed to know. Almost as if, I was also looking for you, maybe not in the same way, but I tried.
She tapped the pen against the papers, she needed to sign them, all of them. But for her to do that she needed a name.
Vega, a daughter born and kidnaped, lost to time. There was no way she could ever be that girl, a child of the Night in the way Vega was intended to be raised. Her powers flowed in her body, yes. But beyond that. She was not the young girl in the paintings. And Freya...
She had died that day. Died the moment her powers took over, the moment Tamlin threw her out. The moment everything became clear. Freya... She didn't exist anymore, not in a way she once had. But what was left?
"Are you done?" Orion asked from the stairs. He stood there all dressed up for the celebrations.
"Almost..." She placed down the papers in her lap, seeing the male standing there fixing with the kuffs on his jacket. Some nights she slept in his bed, on the upper floor, some nights he came down to stay with her on the sofa. Why she wanted to stay there was beyond her. They had shared kisses. "They are done, I just need to sign them."
