Once upon a time, a little girl sat in her fathers lap, he pointed at the stars above her. He told her the stories of the different constellations. How the heroes of the stories were given eternal life on the night sky as a thanks from the gods, how the last creature to walk the earth was placed there as a memory. The little girl had laughed, asking her father to tell her more stories. Now she only remembered that the stories existed, and nothing else.
Darkness, that was the next part of her life. Trapped in a cave, as her fingers was forced into claws, her teeth turned into fags, growing out from her gums as the taste of blood filled her mouth. Her back got pressed into the burning bars of the cage, making her scream out.
Over and over... Until all she knew was darkness, and pain.
A white sky, ice against her skin, and there... An angel ready to take her away from this hell. For a second she had wished to be a star, or maybe one of the stories in the night sky. A warning to all. The girl who lived in a cage, only to be freed to the night stars. Still one to live in darkness, but freed from the bars of the pains of the cage. It was the only future she could imagen as the angel came down over her.
How wrong she had been...
