Caroline had always been excited for senior prank night. Somehow she had never considered it would be like this.

All of her supposed friends were practically ignoring her existence and Caroline couldn't help but feel left out.

She almost wished Lia or Addy had joined her even though both had graduated Hogwarts and neither had any desire to go to school.

At least this night would have been more entertaining. Cordelia had a way of making every moment more enjoyable. She loved life in a way only someone who had felt it slip away could.

They didn't often talk about the day Lia died. The memories were quite frankly too horrible for both of them but Caroline would never forget the moment she found her sister lifeless, without even a heartbeat.

No one quite knew how she had came back but everyone agreed that it was proof that her power was boundless.

Ever since Cor had found a way to make everything fun. To enjoy every bit of life that she could.

Without her everything seemed to be boring. Senior prank night especially. She had separated from her friends a while ago when they couldn't even feign excitement to see her.

They were mad that she had helped Klaus as if they didn't understand that what she did caused the least amount of death possible.

Cordelia was many things but she wasn't a bad person. She could come off as rude because she was extremely blunt and she wasn't the most comforting person but she didn't kill people unless it was a necessity. Sadly it all too often was.

Caroline could tell something was wrong so she listened in with her vamp hearing and heard a voice she was not expecting.

Klaus. Which meant that his hybrids must have failed. Lia had been confident that it shouldn't affect anything so she grabbed the Iris bead and wrote a quick message telling her that Klaus was here before going to the gym.

She opened the doors to see Klaus arguing with Bonnie, and Elena and Matt standing off to the side.

They turned to face her when she entered and Klaus sent her a charming grin. "Caroline. Lovely to see you again."

"While I didn't expect to see you again for a while so I'm assuming your hybrids failed."

Klaus's face fell slightly. "Yes. What is that about? You assured me the doppelgängers resurrection would not affect it."

"Lia didn't think it would and I still believe her so my guess is it failed for a different reason. I told Lia you're here so I'm sure she'll be here in a few minutes with a solution."

Before he could respond a blonde girl came in dragging Tyler. "I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah. Word of warning she can be quite mean."

Caroline smirked at him. "You're one to talk."

Klaus turned to her with a grin. "I'm perfectly pleasant sweetheart."

Care snorted. "Perfectly."

Rebekah tilted her head at her, assessing her slowly. Caroline stared back at her eyebrows raised. "You must be Caroline. Nik's told me all about you."

She glanced at Klaus slightly. "Is that so?"

He scowled at his sister. "We're getting off topic. I'm going to make this very simple." He grabbed Tyler and dragged him away from the others. "Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf they die during the transition. It's quite horrible actually." Klaus bit into his arm and shoved his blood into Tyler's mouth. "I need to find a way to save my hybrids and for Tyler's sake do it fast." He grinned at them before snapping his neck.
