Chapter 19

A knock at the door alerted Cordelia and she went to open it immediately glaring at the sight of Elena.

"What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to Rebekah."

Lia scowled. "No, you don't."

The others had come to see what was going on and Elena turned to Rebekah. "How do you know Mikael killed your mother?"

Rebekah frowned. "Nik was there. He told me."

"He lied to you."

Lia scoffed. "And we should believe you, why?"

"The cave where you carved your family's names is covered in symbols. The story of your family, how your parents arrived, how they made peace. The doppelgänger pulled out a photo showing it to Bekah. She pulled out more pictures and continued speaking. "The spell that turned them into vampires and this. This is the symbol for the hybrid."

She tried to enter the house to show the paper but Lia pushed her back and grabbed the paper. It showed a sun and moon with a pair of fangs in between.

"This is the combination of the werewolf and vampire symbols." Lia rolled her eyes.

"Really? I never would have guessed."

Ignoring her Elena pulled out another image. "And this is the one for your mother."

"Her necklace."

"And this or the story of her death." She pulled out the last picture. "The hybrid killed the original witch. Not Mikael, Klaus."

Bekah shook her head. "No. No, he wouldn't."

"She put the curse on him, made it so he would be the only one of his kind, and then she rejected him. With the werewolf gene, comes aggression and violence. When he turned, all of that was heightened. He killed her, Rebekah, and then he made up this entire lie about your father so that he wouldn't lose you."

"These mean nothing. They're just stupid drawings, done by stupid people who had no idea who my family was." She threw the drawings on the ground in anger.

"Then why are so upset?" Elena stepped forward, into the house, and this time Lia let her.

She screamed and fell to the ground twitching violently as the electricity racked through her body. "Vampire or not, no one enters my home without invitation. Leave now or it will get much, much worse."

Elena pulled herself from the ground and crawled out of the house. As soon as she was out of the doorway, her body relaxed and she ran away.

If Elena didn't think she would have her house guarded that was her own fault. She had only been hit by one of many cascading spells that ended in turning the intruder to stone. Really she had it lucky.

Lia turned to Rebekah who had tears rolling down her face and was being comforted by Addy. "Don't listen to her. She's just being manipulative. She doesn't know what she's talking about."

They had decided that the smartest move for now was to let the scooby gang believe that Rebekah was with them for their plan.

That way they would have more info on what they were doing to insure that Mikael died and not Niklaus.

Lia had talked to Rebekah and she knew that, though she was mad at her brother for lying she didn't want him dead.
