Cordelia walked up the Mikaelson Mansion and walked inside without waiting for an invitation. She was here on business, she had no time to play around.Kol claimed that their eldest brother Finn was helping Esther and Lia couldn't fathom why. She figured it best to have a chat with him.
Everyone else was gone. Addy had dragged Rebekah somewhere and Care and Kat had teamed up to distract the boys.
Lia wanted their conversation to be private. Finn entered the room seeming quite surprised to see her. She gave him her most charming smile as she spoke, "I don't believe we actually got to talk at your ball. You're Finn right? Cordelia Forbes."
He stared at her, seeming very unenthused by her performance but Lia was not discouraged. "I just wanted to talk to you about the whole plan with your mom. I know you don't get along with your family but murder seems a little much and trying to kill me. You know, it's a little rude. I've never done anything to you."
Finn stared at her for a few more seconds before speaking up, "How are you alive? You drank the champagne."
Lia scoffed. "Please, I'm a siphon. You think I couldn't absorb that magic the second it touched me. You'll find I'm not that easy to kill. You might as well stop trying."
"I have no issues with you. I'm sorry for the spell that was used, my mother simply thought you would get in the way of her plan."
"You're damn right I will. Whatever the issues you have with your siblings they don't deserve to die. Bekah's my friend, Elijah is relatively nice and I've only known Kol for a day but he's grown on me. And as annoying as Niklaus can be he doesn't deserve to die."
"You don't understand my family. You've barely known them. Niklaus is awful and controlling. He locked me in a coffin for nearly a thousand years. Should I not want my revenge."
"Of course you should." Finn looked up surprised, not expecting the answer from the girl. "But you said it yourself you were in a coffin for a thousand years. Think of all the things you missed."
Lia spread her arms out dramatically. "You have an opportunity to make up for lost time, to live your life the way you want to regardless of your siblings opinions. Don't throw that away for revenge."
Finn's face had dropped slightly in concentration and Lia continued with a grin. "If you're really mad at Niklaus I have quite a few magical tricks that would make him miserable."
Finn's lips twitched but he forced it down. "Niklaus will always try to control me and as long as he has the daggers he will be able to."
Lia's grin turned positively mischievous now. "Who said he had the daggers?"
She reached into a pocket and pulled out five perfectly polished daggers. Lia and her friends had collected them over the past day for more than just the chance to win Finn over. Cordelia hated the idea of the daggers.
It had always given Niklaus too much control in his relationship with his siblings and until they were gone they would never get to truly be themselves around him. He may think that he was helping them but he had to let go of his siblings and let them live their own lives. This was her way of helping him with that.
Finn backed up slightly and Lia rolled her eyes. "Relax, I'm not going to stab you. Quite the opposite actually. I'm going to free you." She grabbed one of the daggers and started siphoning.
She gasped at the familiar surge of magic. As she expected the dagger had quite powerful magic and siphoning one made her feel like she was on a sugar rush.
She tossed it towards Finn who grabbed it with his vampiric reflexes. "There you go."
He inspected the dagger as Lia pocketed the rest. "You don't have to be controlled by your family."
