Chapter Thirteen: Business deals and more secrets

AN: I don't even understand my own index at this point. I feel like y'all catch the drift in anything you can read.  Only one that still stays is

For future chaps imma say it now and it's important. We're going into Alabasta with braids, any braids be it you having straight hair and making those braids that look like art or twists, goddess braids, dreadlocks, twists braids anything that doesn't involve combing sand out if your hair 24/7. Plus it's more easier to put on a hat.

"So you made him fly?"

Luffy nodded as he wrapped his arms around Y/n to hug her, resting his head atop her shoulder since he had learnt the hard way of ruining her (afro/curls/ straightened/ if you're perhaps bald ,I'm sorry)– she had put him on a fishing rod and used him as bait.

"Yeah, you should have seen the reindeer though. HE WAS SO COOL!" Y/n moved her head back a bit to keep herself from losing her hearing.  Truthfully she wanted to kick Wapol's ass for what he was trying to pull back at the ship. She'd just have to settle for her captain beating him up though.

The sight of Luffy frowning took her by surprise for a second. Especially since he had just yelled in her ear. Pinching his rubbery cheek to catch his attention, his inky eyes went to her.

"What's wrong?"

Luffy merely shook his head," Im hungry." then gave her a bright smile to avert her attention from what he was really feeling," Wonder what we're gonna eat when we get back on the ship."

Y/n sighed," You're always hungry." To which her captain chuckled. Then nearly complained at Vivi when she had pulled her away from his arms to check on Sanji and Nami after Dr. Kureha had ordered them back inside the castle.

Luffy's mind couldn't help but replay something Wapol had said, though he preferred not to think much about anything unless he felt it truly important.

The tyrant had taunted him during their fight. His annoying voice making him want to make him take back his words.

"You think you can keep that girl to yourself?A little thing like you? DONT MAKE ME LAUGH!" his face had twisted into a crazed look when he laughed, it made the rubber man feel a slight shiver down his spine. Only a tiny one. "It's a shame really...one doesn't see the true value of things, unless they're taken away."

He had felt himself seethe at the words, ready to draw blood in an instant. His fist tightly clenched at the memory.

"Luffy!" Ussop shook him so they'd both get set on building snowmen to pass the time. He looked to the sniper before dismissing the thought for now. Though this hadn't gone unnoticed by his firstmate who sat at his spot seething from the memory of how Dr Kureha had treated him.

Luffy's eyes went to Y/n and Vivi's retreating figures as they walked through the large gates. 'What are you not telling me?'

Sanji's cries of pain went ignored as Dr Kureha a.k.a Doctorine took care of his injuries.

The sound of his bones being repositioned and the cracks that bounced and echoed over the walls installed fear into all the men who had accompanied Dalton.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHGGGHHH!"

"This is what happens when your out of bed before letting your body heal."
The old woman said as she did her final touches on his back making him groan in pain. 'I need that for my back problems.'
