Bogum arrived at Yongsun's house, his eyes scanning the surroundings carefully, and he noticed that the driveway to Yongsun's house was empty, so he needed to take advantage. He needed to approach this carefully, and he needed to gain her trust, if only for a moment. He took a deep breath, formulating a plan as he made his way up the porch steps, and rang the doorbell.
A few moments later, the door opened, and Yongsun appeared, her expression shifting between confusion and worry. She looked at Bogum, who was visibly disheveled and anxious.
"Bogum? Are you okay?", Yongsun questioned, concern evident in her voice as she cautiously looked around before eyeing him.
"No, I'm not.", Bogum replied quickly, trying to sound as desperate as possible.
"Can I come inside?", Bogum added shortly after, but Yongsun hesitated, her instincts warning her against it.
She knew about the vampire trio and their world, which included the existence of werewolves. Her skepticism grew as she considered his sudden request and appearance after a week of being absent.
"I can call an ambulance if you need help. I'm sure they'd be more of a help than me.", Yongsun suggested, trying to maintain a safe distance.
"No, no, that's not necessary. Could I just come in and use your phone to contact my friends?", Bogum insisted, shaking his head and again, Yongsun hesitated.
"I can lend you my phone, but you'll need to stay outside. The.. the place is a mess.", Yongsun said and nervously laughed, but her refusal began to fuel Bogum's frustration.
"I don't mind.", Bogum replied with a shrug and Yongsun cleared her throat, trying to think of another excuse.
"I know, it's just.. My parents just got home from their work trip and they're tired, so I don't want to make a lot of noise inside right now.", Yongsun lied as she gestured upstairs, but Bogum wasn't buying it after seeing the driveway empty.
"What are you talking about? Your parents aren't home. You're all alone.", Bogum commented as he gestured over toward the driveway, causing Yongsun's heart to drop in fear.
"That's.. that's because— Well, a cab dropped them off since.. since they were too tired to drive back from the airport.", Yongsun excused once again. She wasn't falling for his ruse, and time was slipping away.
"I'm many things Yongsun, but I'm not stupid or patient.", Bogum commented and saw Yongsun's eyes looking around before she got a hold of the door, attempting to close it.
But in a moment of desperation, he lunged forward, his hand closing around Yongsun's arm with a grip tight enough to leave marks. His nails dug into her skin, drawing blood as she shrieked in horror.
"Let go of me!", Yongsun screamed, her voice filled with panic as she clung to the door frame, trying to fight him off. With all her strength, she kicked him in the groin, forcing him to release his hold on her with a pained yell.
"You bitch!", Bogum cursed as he stumbled backward, clutching himself as Yongsun dropped to the ground, quickly crawling back inside. She slammed the door shut and locked it, her heart racing as she got back onto her feet and grabbed her phone with trembling hands.
