Chapter XV (✓)

Two weeks had passed since Seulgi, Seungwan, Moonbyul, and Krystal embarked on their mission to unravel the mystery surrounding Bogum's secretive plans. The looming shadow of the town's main event inching closer added urgency to their quest, pushing the group of four to work together with unwavering determination.

Night after night, under the cover of darkness, they stealthily approached Bogum's house, each time with a meticulously crafted plan in mind. However, as fate would have it, every attempt to breach Bogum's fortress-like home was met with unforeseen obstacles.

Just when they thought they had found a vulnerability, a vehicle pulled into the driveway, forcing them to retreat hastily before they were seen.

"Can we just blow up this place to get in once and for all?", Moonbyul asked as they left the area.

"You don't think we'd blow up what their plans are in the progress?", Krystal retorted in annoyance.

"Quit arguing like toddlers. It just seems that we need some magic on our end.", Seulgi responded and turned to look at Seungwan who had the closest ties with Sooyoung after her department with Joohyun.

"That's right! Call your witchy girlfriend and ask them to help us.", Moonbyul hastily said and Seungwan frowned before shaking her hands.

"She's not my girlfriend, besides, we don't know if they're also using witches.", Seungwan clarified with a pink hue covering her cheeks.

"Yeah right, just give her a call and see if she can help."

The next day, Sooyoung agreed to meet in the morning and suggested they come over to a secluded area that only she was familiar with. But just as the three were ready to meet the younger, Seungwan quickly noticed that Seulgi wasn't around.

"Has anyone seen Seulgi?", Seungwan asked and the other two looked around.

"I saw her head upstairs not too long ago.", Krystal answered and Seungwan nodded.

"Did she say she was going to do something or that she was even joining us?", Seungwan asked in curiosity, but that was quickly shut down.

"I'm not joining you guys today. I'm going to try and figure out how we can get inside if Sooyoung can't help in the end.", Seulgi stated as she came downstairs with her hands in her jeans pocket.

"Good idea, but I'm sure she'd figure out something since she's a witch. Are you sure you're not coming then?", Moonbyul inquired and Seulgi nodded.

"Okay then, we'll let you know how it goes when we come back.", Krystal said and the younger nodded as she watched them leave except Seungwan who stayed behind.

"Don't do anything stupid in case you try something. At least not without us as your backup.", Seungwan warned and Seulgi smiled in amusement.

"I won't do anything stupid, don't worry.", Seulgi assured and Seungwan softly exhaled.

"Alright good.", Seungwan replied.

"Go before they begin to think you're staying here to help instead of joining them.", Seulgi pointed out and Seungwan nodded before heading out of the house to join the others.
