Morning sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over the living room. The aroma of breakfast wafted through the air as Seulgi and Moonbyul busied themselves in the kitchen, preparing a meal for Yongsun and Joohyun. They worked quietly, their movements efficient and practiced after so many mornings spent together.
Seungwan had left earlier to fetch some blood bags from their house, ensuring she and the other three would have their own breakfast waiting when she returned. As Seungwan re-entered the house, she found Joohyun and Yongsun already awake and seated at the dining table, enjoying the breakfast that had been prepared for them.
"Good morning.", Seungwan greeted, tossing a blood bag each to Seulgi and Moonbyul, who caught them effortlessly.
"Good morning Seungwan, thanks for the breakfast too.", Joohyun replied with a smile, taking a sip of her warm tea and Yongsun nodded in agreement, looking much more at ease than she had the night before.
"You really didn't have to do this.", Yongsun said as she gestured over toward the table.
"It's the least we could do. After everything you've been through.", Seulgi replied, tearing into her blood bag with a nod of thanks to Seungwan.
The conversation turned to light as they ate, laughter breaking the tension from the previous night. But there was still the pressing matter of Bogum, and Seungwan was quick to bring it up.
"Joohyun, have you heard from Sooyoung and Yeri?", Seungwan asked, setting down her empty bag and Joohyun nodded, her expression turning more serious.
"I have. They're on their way back, but they didn't give me an exact date. They just said it would be soon.", Joohyun honestly answered.
"That's good to hear. Their magic will be a big help in tracking down Bogum.", Moonbyul said, visibly relieved.
The mention of Sooyoung and Yeri's impending arrival seemed to lift a weight off their shoulders. With the witches' help, they had a much better chance of tracking Bogum down and preventing any further trouble.
"You girls can finish up eating, we'll be in the other room.", Seulgi informed and the two nodded as she gestured for Seungwan and Moonbyul to follow her into the living room. Far away from their prying ears as they settle near the farthest window.
"We should come up with a plan in the meantime. As Joohyun said, the two are coming soon but don't know exactly when.", Seulgi suggested, her mind already racing with possibilities.
"Until then, we're on our own.", Seulgi added shortly after and they nodded.
"Maybe we can start by trying to figure out where he might be hiding. His house for starters.", Seungwan said as she stared out the window.
"Oh shit! We completely forgot about his father. Especially after what Mr. Bae warned us about.", Moonbyul cursed as she looked at the two who gasped at the remembrance.
"Crap, what do we do now?", Seungwan asked in alarm.
"First and foremost, calm down. If Bogum did go to his father and told him what happened, the whole town would be in panic mode right now, but are they? The streets are as quiet as ever and I'd like to believe that Mr. Bae would give us a heads up again.", Seulgi pointed out to ease the other's nerves.
