"You look ridiculous." Morgi teased Hades as he was getting ready for the winter formal.
"Cause I'm actually putting in effort?"
"Cause you look like a vampire with blue hair!"
Hades rolled his eyes at his friend's remark. Morgi had no sense of style in hades opinion, so he didn't care what the son of Morgana thought. Hades turned at looked at himself in the mirror.

"Any other unhelpful opinions or can I go?"
"Yes," he teased, "don't freeze!"
Hades grabbed his car keys and flipped his friend the bird before heading to Maleficents dorm room.

"I still think she should cover her horns!" Merrywether yelled.
"And I think you should shut up before I cut your tongue out of your throat!" Maleficent yelled back at her. The 3 fairies plus Fae have been bugging Maleficent for the past 3 hours about her dress, hair and makeup, and it was driving her crazy. Flora kept trying to turn her dress pink, Fauna kept messing with her hair, and Merrywether would not let up about covering Maleficents horns. Fae was just there cause it was her dorm room, and she was making sure the fairies didn't kill each other.

"I think she looks pretty." Fae chimed in trying to keep the peace. Fauna agreed with her, hoping her sisters would stop bickering.
"I still say make it pink."
"And I say if you do that I'll break your wand." Maleficent snapped. Flora put her hands up in defeat, stepping away before Maleficent snapped her neck.
*Knock Knock Knock*
"I got it!!" Merrywether ran over and opened the door for Hades and was shocked to see him actually put together. "Hello handsome~"
Hades was uninterested in the blue fairy's flirting and pushed past her. He froze when he saw Maleficent, absolutely stunned by how beautiful she was. "What do you think..?" She asked nervously since hades was just staring at her.
"I think I finally understand the difference between pretty and drop dead gorgeous." He admitted.
Maleficent turned her head so he couldn't see her blushing like crazy, but her nervously tucking her hair behind her ear was a dead give away. He held his hand out for her, "ready, lotus flower?"
"Yes." She took his hand and the pair walked off, the others fairies squealing with excitement as soon as the door was closed.
The gym was so packed full of students Maleficent wondered how anyone could walk straight without running into someone. The gym was decorated in winter themed decorations that were more Christmas decorations than simply winter decorations. Some of the 'goodies' were shocked to see Hades and Maleficent there, but knew better than to say anything. Well, all except Bridget, who immediately ran up to talk to them.
"Hey! I didn't expect to see you two here!" She said excitedly. The future couple didn't know what to say to that, and kinda just started at her uncomfortably. 10 seconds of awkward silence later, Bridget ran off to talk to other people and hand out cupcakes.
"I don't understand how someone can be that fucking perky all the time." Hades groaned annoyed.
"Your guess is as good as mine."
The pair hung out in the back of the gym away from people, talking about whatever random topics came to mind, and Occasionally messing with any student who got too close. They had gotten to the topic of poisonous flower when the DJ announced for all couples to come to the dance floor for the first slow dance of the night. To Hades surprise, two girls walked, well more like ran, up to him asking him to dance.
"Flattered, but I don't dance." He told them.
"Come oooonnn~" one of the girls whined. "You really never danced?"
"Once, didn't like it. Now go away." He answered, shooing them off
The other girl scoffed in annoyance. "You really rather stay here with the horned freak than hang with us?!"
Now if there's one thing you don't do around hades, it's insult someone he cares about to their face. "I'd actually rather see you two on fire." On cue, the two girls dresses began to smoke up before bursting into flames, sending the girls running outside to the fountain....and then into said fountain.
Hades turned back to ask Maleficent if she was okay, but to his surprise she had already left the gym and was walking out to the enchanted forest. He ran after her and caught up with the dark fae before she reached the forest. "M, wait up!" He called out only to be ignored. "M!"
"Leave me alone, Hades."
"Why should I?"
"Cause it's a waste of time for you to be out here!"
Hades grabbed her arm to stop her from walking away. "It's a waste of my time to make sure my friend is okay?"
"You don't need to make sure I'm okay! I used to that kinda crap."
"Well you shouldn't be! They shouldn't talk to you like that!" (I know, hypocrite right?)
"Hades why do you care?" She asked, her voice a mixture of annoyed and tired.
"I care because you are my friend! I care because no one should be treating you that way!" Hades yelled, getting frustrated with this whole situation.
"Hades you are a god...and fucking godly king if that. You don't need to waste your time and energy caring about a wingless, horned fa—" Hades cut her off but cupping her face in his hands and kissing her. He pulled away, still holding her face in his hands and staring into her green eyes.
"It doesn't matter to me that you're a fairy and I'm a god, that never mattered to me. I love you Maleficent, and I would give up my kingdom and my godlyhood if it meant you would always be safe and happy. And you are so much more to me than a 'wingless horned fae.' You are the closest person to me, you are strong, and smart and crazy and beautiful. I love everything about you, and i care about you because I love you. That will never change."
Maleficent stared at him in shock, holding onto his wrists. Never in her life has anyone said anything like that to her and she honestly wasn't sure how to react. The only way she knew how to react was moving hades hands off her face, and kissing him back. It surprised him, but it didn't stop him from wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her back. She pulled away and buried her head into Hades chest, trying to keep herself from crying due to how heartfelt Hades words were to her. Hades held her close, running his fingers through her hair and rubbing her back.
