Few hours after they went back to sleep, Maleficent got up and wandered around the palace with one of Hades robes on. She didn't feel like staying in bed or working, nor did she want to deal with all the letters from school, so she just wandered. She ended up in the kitchen at some point and grabbed a cup of tea. Hades could fight her on eating later. She went outside and wandered the grounds, looking at the flowers and plants that managed to grow in the underworld. Some of hades servants were outside in the gardens tending to the plants which she enjoyed watching sometime. They waved at her when she passed by, always happy to see their queen. She waved back slightly, not in much of a mood for humans (demon) interaction. She walked off to a farther end of the garden and sat on the ground watching the servants.

After a little while, Maleficent was startled by Diaval walked up to her with a basket of fruits. "Morning mistress!" He beamed.

"Morning diaval." She replied tiredly.

"Are you alright, Mistress?" He asked.

"Just tired my pet.." she noticed the basket of fruit in his arms and the dirt on his arms, "what are you doing?"

"Oh. Well you and the master were still asleep so I decided to help some of that gardeners today." Diaval explained sitting beside her.

"That was nice of you. I'm sure they appreciated it."

"I hope so." He took a pomegranate out of the basket and handed it to her. "Here, you should probably eat."

"I'm good diaval, but thank you."

"If you say you." He shrugged, eating an apple for himself.

The two sat in silence for a moment before an imp appeared and handed a letter to Maleficent then disappeared. Maleficent didn't even open the letter, just looked at it sadly and setting in on the ground. Diaval noticed it and asked, "what's that?"

"A letter from school," she answered, "they want me to come back."

"Oh. Are you?"

"I don't know..." she sighed. "My friends want us to, but I don't know if it's a good idea. We've missed so much this year and I don't want to go back just to be humiliated when we fail the final."

"Who says you'd fail?"

"Come now diaval, we've been gone all year. There no chance in Hades that we'd passed that test."

"I beg to differ, Mistress." Diaval argued. "From what I saw you were one of the smartest people in that school. I believe you could pass even without the whole years of schooling. As for the master...well he's a god, does he really need school?"

Maleficent smirked a bit. Clearly everyone had so much faith in her husband (sarcasm). "Even so, we're villains Diaval. What good is finishing the year going to do for us?"

"May I speak freely Mistress?" Diaval asked.

"I suppose."

"You are fucking stupid."

That definitely threw Maleficent for a curve. "Excuse me!?"

"Mistress you may be a villain but you have the most potential than anyone else at that school. You're already a queen with a massive legion at your disposal, subjects who adore you, friends who willingly do whatever you ask of them, and a husband who would give his kingdom for you. Your the most powerful fae in the world, not to the mention the smartest person I've ever met! So..fuck this thought that you aren't worth anything or can't finish this because of what some mortals depict you as, cause it's complete bullshit." Diaval stood up, picking up the basket and handed a pomegranate to Maleficent again. "And hey, what do you have to lose? You're a fairy queen of the underworld after all, how many people can say that?" Diaval gave her a reassuring smile and walked off to get back to work.
