Maleficent and Hades relationship from when they met in high school to when Mal gets off the isle. Plus some fixing of continuity issues in the descendants universe.
(Also they will not be getting divorced in this story because frankly I don't know...

Hades and Maleficent spent the next two months touring around Greece and different parts of London. They managed to freak out quite a few people, especially when visiting the poisonous gardens. Maleficent kept talking about all the different spells and potions you can use them in and how they affect humans....maybe children learned what decaying and gang green meant that day. Hades found it rather amusing; their parents did not. On their way home, Hades and Maleficent ran into a hunter who had caught a raven in a cage and another under a net.
Hades never had an issue with hunters as long as you used what you killed, but he saw no reason to kill a raven. Maleficent just hated hunters in general. The couple hid in some tall grass so the hunter wouldn't see them.
When the hunter when to beat the poor creature with a mallet, Maleficent used her magic on him. "Into a man." She muttered, turning the small bird into a human.
The man ran away in fear, claiming the now man was a demon. Maleficent went up to the man while Hades uncaged the other bird. The guy looked at Maleficent curiously. He'd never seen a woman with horns before. "What have you done to my beautiful self?" He asked.
"Would you rather I let them beat you to death?" She asked snarky.
"I'm not certain." The man answered looking at himself.
"Dude stop complaining. My wife saved you." Hades said taking the other bird into his hands.
He looked back at Maleficent apologetically. "Forgive me ma'am."
"You're forgiven. What do I call you?"
"Diaval." The man answered. "And in return for saving my life, I am your servant. Whatever you need." He bowed to Maleficent.
"Cool. Maybe your servant will be smarter than the ones I got." Hades said handing the other bird to Maleficent. "What you gonna do with that one?"
"Can I request that he stays?" Diaval asked raising his hand. "He's my brother."
Maleficent looked at the other raven in her hands. It was a cute little thing and was pretty friendly with her. "Ofc. I wouldn't want to separate you from your family. Plus, I like this little guy." The raven cawed happily and hopped onto her shoulder.
"Guess he likes you too." Hades smiled petting the bird. "Does it have a name?"
"Diablo." Diaval answered.
"Diablo. Nice name." Maleficent smiled before realizing. "Oh and.." she waved her hand and Diaval was now clothed.

They went back to the underworld a month before the school year started so they'd have time to chill before hell starts. And so Maleficent could have her chance at being queen.
