Lisa entered the office without knocking and saw Jennie holding a piece of paper, tears streaming down her face.

Lisa closed the door behind her, quickly approached her, and placed the coffee on Jennie's desk. She gently put her hand on Jennie's shoulder, as Jennie seemed lost in her thoughts.

Jennie looked up at Lisa but quickly averted her eyes, wiping her tears hastily. She forced a smile and said, "Lili, when did you get here?"

Lisa could see through Jennie's forced smile. "Just now," Lisa replied softly, her voice filled with concern. "I brought you some coffee. You haven't been taking care of yourself lately."

Jennie sighed, looking back down at the paper in her hand. She hesitated for a moment, then handed it to Lisa. "It's Jungkook's resignation letter," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Lisa took the letter, her eyes widening in surprise. "Why would he resign?"

"I think it's because of everything that's happened," Jennie replied, her voice trembling. "I don't want him to go, Lili. I don't want to lose another best friend."

Lisa hugged Jennie, trying to comfort her. "Don't worry, love. I'll talk to Jungkook and I will also talk with Tzuyu. Don't worry, we'll fix everything together."

Jennie nodded, though her tears continued to fall. "I hope so, Lili. I really hope so."

ᴀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴢᴜʏᴜ's ᴀᴘᴀʀᴛᴍᴇɴᴛ:

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Jungkook asked Tzuyu, concern etched on his face.

Tzuyu nodded, her eyes brimming with tears. "Yes. My parents have asked me so many times to come back. And now, there's nothing left for me in Korea."

Her voice was filled with sorrow. Jungkook walked over to her, standing by the window, and embraced her tightly. "Everything will be alright. Don't worry," he assured her softly. Then he added, "By the way, I've handed in my resignation letter at Kim Hospital."

Tzuyu pulled back slightly, surprise flickering in her eyes. "Why did you do that?"

"Because Jennie has deeply disappointed me," Jungkook replied, his gaze fixed on the scenery outside, tears glistening in his eyes. Tzuyu watched him, waiting for more explanation. "I always considered her my best friend, but maybe she doesn't see me that way. She didn't tell me anything. I forgave her for that, but what she did to you, I can't bear. She misunderstood you, showed a lack of judgment that I never expected from her. Jennie should know we don't think ill of her. It hurts that someone I've shared everything with for years doesn't value me," he said, his voice cracking with emotion.

Tzuyu placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "But please, stay with Jennie. Yes, she made mistakes, but your situation and mine are different. I need a fresh start, but once I've moved on, I'll come back and try to rebuild our friendship. You can forgive her and start over here. Please, for my sake, don't leave Jennie. Despite her mistakes, she's still our best friend, and we can't abandon her. Please, never leave her."

"She hurt you so much, yet you still care for her?" Jungkook asked, his voice filled with disbelief.

Tzuyu nodded and said, "Yes, I still love her deeply. That's why I don't want Jennie to fall apart. But I need to take care of myself now."

Jungkook took a deep breath, wiping away his tears. "Alright, for you, I'll stay. But it's going to be hard seeing her every day, knowing what she did."

"I know," Tzuyu replied, her voice soft yet firm. "But Jennie needs you. She might not realize it now, but she does. She has already lost too much."

Jungkook nodded, feeling the weight of Tzuyu's words. "I'll talk to her. Maybe there's still a chance to fix things."

Tzuyu smiled weakly. "Thank you. Just remember, you're not alone in this. We all make mistakes, and we all deserve a second chance."

Jungkook gave her a final hug before stepping back. "Take care of yourself, Tzuyu. Promise me you'll stay safe."

"I will," Tzuyu replied, her eyes shining with determination. "And you, take care of Jennie. She needs you now more than ever."

As Jungkook left the apartment, Tzuyu stood by the window, watching him disappear into the distance. She knew this was the right decision for her, but it didn't make the pain any less real.

ʙᴀᴄᴋ.ᴀᴛ ᴊᴇɴɴɪᴇ's ᴏғғɪᴄᴇ.

Lisa sat with Jennie, trying to think of a way to bring some comfort to her. "Jennie, you know Tzuyu still cares about you, right? She just needs some time."

Jennie nodded, her eyes red from crying. "I know, but it still hurts. I never wanted to lose her."

Lisa took Jennie's hands in hers. "We can fix this. I believe in us. We'll talk to her, make things right. For now, focus on taking care of yourself."

Jennie managed a small smile. "Thank you, Lisa. I don't know what I would do without you."

"We're in this together," Lisa replied, squeezing Jennie's hands. "We'll get through it. One step at a time."

Jennie felt a glimmer of hope. With Lisa by her side, maybe things could still turn around.

Jungkook entered the Kim Hospital with determination, heading straight to Jennie's office. He knocked once before walking in, finding Jennie and Lisa deep in conversation.

"Jennie, I need you to give me back my resignation letter," Jungkook said firmly.

Jennie's eyes widened in surprise and then filled with joy. She quickly got up from her desk and hugged Jungkook tightly. "Thank you! This means so much to me."

Lisa, standing nearby, couldn't help but smile at the reunion. "I'm so glad you're staying, Jungkook."

Jungkook nodded, returning Jennie's hug. "But there's something else. Tzuyu is leaving for America today at 2:00 PM."

Jennie quickly checked the time on her phone. "It's 1:40 PM! I have to get to the airport!" she exclaimed, rushing out of her office. Everyone in the hospital watched as she dashed through the hallways.

Jungkook and Lisa exchanged a look before hurrying after her, getting into their car and following her to the airport.
