Feng Xin

Everything was hazy as I came to. All I could feel was the snow underneath my back and the snow that was gently falling on my face. I was still in the mountains. The last thing I remember was fighting the female snow ghost before everything went black.

Slowly I opened my eyes to see the blue sky above me and Fengshen sitting cross-legged next to me smiling. "Your finally awake master". "Fengshen". My voice was raspy. "Mhm, but it'll be better if we talk at your palace". He said gently taking my hand and helping me to my feet.

I couldn't help but take notice of the dark blue Hanfu robes I was now in. My hair was still down but my shoes and socks were nowhere to be found. I also felt different.

"Is Mu Qing there? How are he and Cuo Cuo doing"? They were the only two people I needed to focus on right now, everything else could come later, "I'll explain everything once we're home". I could tell he didn't mean our regular home.

For a long time, I said nothing as I walked with him through the mountain's path. The longer we walked the more I felt powers I hadn't had before grow stronger. Part of me wanted to try these powers out but another part was afraid to since I had no idea where they were coming from or who gave them to me.

When we eventually came across a palace I had a feeling of home wash over me. It was a tall three-story palace with the roofs fully covered in snow, and winter trees surrounding it with a long staircase leading up to the front door.

Once past the stairs was a walking way with statues of ice dragons on each side of a water ice fountain on both sides.

"Who's palace"?

"Yours master". He made his way inside and I followed. A long red carpet led to a pair of staircases that were connected together back to back and were in the shape of an unfinished circle. From the looks of everything I could tell it was decorated in medieval times.

"There's a kitchen, multiple dens with fireplaces, bedrooms, balconies, a training room, armory, sauna, and animal sanctuary". Fengshen said as I looked around. "Who build this"? "I did, along with a few of your snow ghosts". I looked at him confused.

"Snow ghosts"? " Mhm, you are now ghost king Snow Crusher Feng Xin". "A ghost king? I became a ghost king"? "Yes, master". "How long have I been asleep"? He looked at me sadly. "A year". I looked at him shocked. "A a whole year? What happened to Cuo Cuo and Mu Qing? Where are they? Do you know"?

"Mu Qing has gone into a depression since you've been gone and Cuo Cuo is with his mother. Everyone thinks your dead and the emperor doesn't want Mu Qing anywhere near Cuo". Anger started to boil inside of me as each of his words sunk in.

My family. That bastard had me killed so he could go after my family. I swear I'll make him pay for what he's done

"Master"? "I'm going to get my son".

I made my way over to ghost city as fast as I could. Everywhere I went I could see the citizens looking at me with nothing but fear in their eyes and rightfully so. They knew I was the new ghost king that had been born but none of them knew what my motives were.

For all they knew I could be here to kill off Hua Cheng and take over his territory but I would never do that. He's important to Xie Lian and is the one that makes him the happiest, I know my presence here is affecting him greatly which is why I plan on making this trip fast Jian Lan and Cuo Cuo are my only reasons for being here.

It didn't take me long to find her. Cuo Cuo was sitting in a corner holding himself inside a brothel as his mother sat on some random dude's lap flirting with him. I grabbed hold of Fengshen and shot an arrow that froze them both to the chair they were in.

"Y your alive". She looked at me shocked. "No bitch I'm dead". "Daddy"? Cuo ran up to me and immediately I took him into my arms and held him as he clung to me. "It's ok bud, daddy's got you". I said softly before glaring at his mother.

"A brothel, are you fucking stupid"? "You're not taking my son"! I lifted my hand and made the ice grow around their bodies more. "You are no mother to him. A real mother would be at home with her one-year-old child not at a brothel traumatizing him". The ice started to sink into both their bodies as I walked off and headed home with my son.
