Mu Qing

I still couldn't believe it, Feng Xin was back. My Feng Xin was back and had came for me. I thought I was never going to see him again. I thought I would have to live the rest of my life in despair but that wasn't the case at all.

"How are you feeling my love"? He asked walking into the bedroom I was in. "Sore but ok". I was lying on the couch as he made his way over, leaned down, and gave me a peck on my lips. "How about I run a bath for you then"? He whispered. "Join me". "Of course angel". He pulled away and took me by the hand helping me up and he led me towards the bathroom.

It was a master bathroom with white tile floors with a large corner bathtub, a double sink, a walk-in shower on the wall in front of the tub, and a smaller room built in for the toilet with a closing door.

"It's beautiful". I whispered. "I'm glad you think so". He said as he started to take his clothes off, I had to turn my head so he wouldn't see the blush that was starting to form. Slowly I grabbed my shirt from the bottom and slid it off before taking off my pants and underwear.

When I was about to put my hair up in a bun he stopped me and turned me facing one of the mirrors. I said nothing as he tied my hair neatly and secured it safely with a beautiful light blue ice hairpin. "Never take this off, this hairpin is the only thing keeping me here".

"You're giving me your ashes"? "I am, I trust you Mu Qing". He went over to the tub and started on the water before getting in a few minutes later. I made my way over joining him and rested my head against his chest.

"I've missed this". I whispered with my eyes closed. "Us taking a bath together"? "That but also me being able to be in your arms and feel safe again". He kissed my head. "I'm not going anywhere, angel". "What happens now, Xin"?

"Whatever you want to happen. You can visit whenever you like or you can stay here with me and Cuo Cuo". I looked up at him shocked as tears filled my eyes. "Cuo Cuo's alive"? He nodded. "Mhm, he is. I'll let you see him but not until your stronger, he misses his papa so much".

I placed my head against his shoulder once again. "I thought I lost you both". "Never, I will always be here for you". His hand moved up my body slowly wanting to feel it but stopped at my wrist. "Don't you think we should take these off? They'll get wet".

"No, they stay on". "Mu Qing". "Please baby". "Ok.........."

"Mu Qing where the fuck are you!? Why haven't you reported back yet!?"

"I'm sorry Your Majesty, my strength is just now returning. I'll be back in a few days".

"You better be".

"Everything ok love"? "Yeah, his majesty just wants me back. Apparently I've been gone too long". "Mu Qing, you are aware he's the one that had me killed right"? I let out a sigh. "I do and as much as I want to pack everything and run I can't. I have to pretend as if I know nothing".

"Promise me you'll stay safe". "I will but I think it'll be best if I see Cuo Cuo before I go".

After our bath, I got dressed and followed him as he led me to a room that was on the same floor as us. He opened the door and my eyes widened in shock as I looked at the one-year-old boy playing with a stack of blocks completely lost in his own little world.

Tears formed in my eyes immediately as my hand covered my mouth.

Cuo Cuo

"Cuo, I got a surprise for you bud". Feng Xin called out. He turned his head towards us and I watched as his eyes lit up the second they landed on me. "Papa"! He ran over and I took him into my arms right away. "Oh, I've missed you so much, my sweet boy". He laughed as I started kissing his face over and over.

"I've missed you too papa, and so has daddy but not as much as me". "Oh is that so"? I smiled. "Mhm! I even drew you a picture for when you came back, wanna see"? "I would love to see your drawing honey". I put him down and followed him as he ran over to one of his cubby's and took out a piece of paper and handed it to me.

I smiled more once I saw it was a picture of me and him playing in the snow together. "I think you're missing two people Cuo". Xin said standing behind me. "Who"? "Me and Daisy". "No, Daisy is a cat and the picture is just for papa. Papa's going to play in the snow with me, I saw it in a dream".

I kneeled to his level and gently ruffled his hair. "I will when I come back ok". I said smiling. "No papa don't go, you'll get hurt". "It's ok baby, I will always come back to you and your daddy. In the meantime there's an important job I have for you". "What's that"? "Take care of Daisy for me ok".
