Hua Cheng
Inside dream
The sun was out as I watched my little sister play happily. Her black hair was down stopping at her shoulders while she wore a red robe dress. His Highness had got it for her after discovering she was wearing my old clothes.
The only downside was that she didn't have any shoes to wear and like mine her hair was disheveled. I know his highness would get them for me if I asked but I don't want to consistently bother him, he's done so much for me already.
"Big brother, come play with me". She looked over at me smiling. "I smiled before making my way over and picking up at stick. "Remember what I thought you"? She nodded and took a fighting stance right away. Her stick was smaller than mine but it didn't matter.
Within seconds we charged at each other and clashed our stick swords against each others pretending we were actually in a sparring match. My sister loved sword fighting so I made it a priority to teach her everything I learned from his highness, thankfully she was a fast learner like me.
For hours we went back and forth with our pretend practice until it was time for us to go in for lunch. Our mother was still sick and our father was away doing whatever he wanted so it was up to me to feed her and my other siblings. We didn't have much but I always found a way to make our food stretch.
"Thank you, big brother". She looked up at me smiling. "Your welcome Hua Ri".
Outside of dream
"Hua Ri". I murmured as I slowly opened my eyes. "You know the elemental fire master"? Gege asked confused as he came to sit in bed with me. I was feeling a little better and was in my adult form once again. "I do, she's my little sister............. I had just forgotten for a while".
Immediately he took me in his arms and held me. "I'm sorry my love". I rested my head against him. "Do you want to see her"?
Zhanmado
Everything was hazy as I slowly came to. The last thing I remember was fighting alongside Mu Qing but now I was in my human form lying on a couch in what looked like to be someone's den. There were two couches, the one I was lying on and the one across from it in front of the open entryway.
A coffee table was placed in front of it and had a fireplace built into the side wall. The fireplace was roaring softly and did a great job of warming me up from the freezing cold.
"You're finally awake".
That voice
"Fengshen". I whispered as he made his way around the couch and over to me. "Hey Zhanmado". I slowly sat up. "You're still here"? Once a heavenly official dies their spiritual weapon is supposed to die alongside them.
"I am, that's because my master is still here". "How? Emperor Jun Wu said he was dead". "He is dead, he's the new ghost king everyone's talking about". He smiled. "What"!? "It's true, we've been here for the past year". "T then why didn't you tell us? Why didn't the two of you come home"? I teared up.
He got up and came to sit next to me. "One because Jun Wu wanted us dead and two because we needed to get the palace ready for the both of you". "Us"? He smiled more. "My master is going to ask your master to move in with him and I'm hoping he says yes because that means I get to be with you again". My eyes widened in shock as he leaned in to kiss me.
