Feng Xin

I sensed him as soon as he set foot onto the mountains. I had a feeling he was here on a mission but couldn't understand why since it was obvious to me he was weak. I wanted to go to him. I wanted so badly to talk with him and explain everything but was afraid to because of how I was now.

That however changed when I sensed my ghosts were beating him up. They all knew not to go after Mu Qing for any reason. They all knew why and knew dam well what he looked like.

In a fit of rage, I grabbed hold of Fengshen and made my way over there immediately. It didn't take me long to get to him. The smell of his blood was fresh in the air enraging me more with each step I took.

When I got there I was even more pissed off to see it was one of my soldiers who was attacking him. Mu Qing's hair was loose and slowly covered in blood as bruises covered his body and blood leaked from his leg onto the white snow.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing"? They all backed away from him and looked at me shocked. "My lord". The soldier that had stabbed him spoke. "That's not answering my question. I asked you what it is you're doing. Do you always disobey my orders or are you just fucking stupid? I specifically told all of you that you are never to attack Mu Qing or Xie Lian".

"Please forgive us, sir, I didn't know it was him". "You were told what he looks like multiple times, you've even seen pictures of him. That's not a good enough reason, that's a bullshit reason". They couldn't say anything. I glared at them before making my way over and gently scooping his body up into my arms.

"Mu Qing". I whispered as I looked down at his unconscious body in my arms. He was still alive but weak. "Sir". "Shut up, all of you need to get out of my sight".

Mu Qing

When I came to I felt nothing but warmth surround me along with the soft feeling of mattresses underneath me. The pain I felt before passing out was still there but hurt less now. It was obvious someone had found me and tended to my wounds.

Slowly I opened my eyes to find myself in a large room with dark walls that were lit by torches. The bed I was in was a king-sized one with dark blue covers and matching pillows. The floor had dark tiles and there was a lit fireplace keeping the entire room warm.

I didn't recognize this place at all. I had no idea where I was but for some reason was able to feel calm. I wasn't anxious or warry at all. I did however notice Zhannado and Daisy weren't by my side. Daisy likes to come with me everywhere I go so it wasn't unusual for me to bring her on missions with me.

I was about to get up when I noticed the door open. Nothing in the world could have prepared me for what I was about to see. He still looked the same but his ears were pontier now and his hair had grown a little longer, but those eyes. I'd recognize those eyes anywhere. Standing in front of me in light blue robes with a snow pattern on them was none other than Feng Xin. My Feng Xin.

"It's been a while hasn't it my love"? He smiled closing the door behind him. "I is it really you"? I asked teary-eyed. He came over and sat on the bed leaving a good distance in-between us.

"Should I start when we were kids or when we grew older and started working for Xie Lian? Oh wait I know, your favorite color is blue, you would pick fruit for your mother and give it all to her insisting you didn't want any.

You act tough but it's only so you can protect your heart from being hurt by the world. You act like you don't care but your the one that cares the most. When your scared or had a nightmare you come to me and I hold you close until you're able to relax again.

You visit your mother's grave often, your father was a deadbeat bastard, you love spicy food, animals, are a great fighter who was personally trained by Xie Lian but above all, you are the person I love most in this world".

"Feng Xin". Tears started to roll down my face. Without saying a word he took me into his arms and I clung to him tight. "I thought I lost you". My voice was wobbly as my body shook in his arms. "It's ok baby, it's ok. I'm here, I've got you. Zhanmado is fine, he's with Fengshen and so is your cat".

"Don't let me go". I hid my face in his neck still crying. "I'm not going anywhere beautiful".
