My Sister Part 2

Xie Lian

Ryuoe was sitting in between my legs as I did his hair. E Ming was napping and San Long hadn't returned from his walk with his sister yet. I was happy for them. I'm glad I was able to reunite two lost siblings, especially after one of them had lost his memories for a bit. Now they could reform their bond and be close with each other once again.

"Do you have any siblings master"? "No, Qi Rong is the only sibling relative I have. I know he and San Long will never be friends with each other and I respect that, I'm just glad they can be somewhat civil when the three of us are all in the same room".

"You care for him a lot don't you master". I smiled. "I do, Qi Rong is my cousin but I think of him as more of a little brother than anything. Hua Cheng and Qi Rong were both innocent little boys who didn't deserve the life they were given. They didn't deserve to be hurt and mistreated if only I had been paying more attention".

"Gege, please don't think that way". San Long said coming into the room with Hua Ri. E Ming woke up the second he sensed his master return, flew to his side, and went right back to sleep.

"San Long". "He's right Your Highness, what happened to my brother wasn't your fault. He doesn't blame you and Neither will Xie Li". I looked at her confused. "Who's Xie Li"? She smiled big. "Your little sister". "My what"!?

Hua Ri had told me to go to my palace in the heavens and wait for my sister to arrive. I have no idea what she's supposed to look like nor that I had a little sister. I always thought it was just me and Qi Rong.

Why would mom and dad lie to me about her? Did they not want her? Did she do something wrong? Was she kidnapped? If she was how badly was she hurt? I'm her older brother but will she even want a relationship with me? Were basically strangers after all

There was a soft knock at my door. Hesitantly I gave the ok and listened as the front door opened followed by the clicking of heels on the floors. The sound got closer as she approached the room I was in and I couldn't help but be amazed by her. She had beautiful long brown hair, was the same complexion as me, had hazel golden brown eyes, and wore a beautiful blue and white top which only had a left long sleeve, white pants, and matching knee-high boots. A sword was securely placed on her right hip.

"Xie Li". I whispered. "It's been a while gege". She smiled. I stood up immediately. There was a sense of familiarity I just couldn't shake. Slowly I made my way over to her and she smiled more as I gently cupped her cheek.

Inside flashback

My head was pounding as I sat in the library trying to focus on the studies father had me doing. I would much rather be with Honger, Qi Rong, or Xie Lie but since I was the crown prince I had responsibilities I had to attend to, despite how late it was.

The only light in the room was the one the candles around me provided. My studies weren't hard, I understood all of it but I was mainly focused on finishing so I could blow the candles out and go to bed. When I was about to turn the page, I heard a soft knock followed by the door squeaking open.

"Gege". Xie Li called out in a tired voice. I turned around to see her face was flushed with droopy eyes. "What's wrong mei mei"? ( little sister ) "I don't feel good". Immediately I closed my book, blew out the candles and made my way over to her, and gently grabbed a hold of her hand as I led her to my room.

Once there I laid her in my bed before heading into the bathroom and dressing myself in the night robes Mu Qing had picked out for me. She waited for me patiently before I made my way back over to her and laid down beside her.

"Did you take any medicine"? She nodded. "Mhm, I just want you". I took her into my arms immediately. "I'm here mei mei". I gently kissed her head.

Outside of flashback

"How could I have forgotten you"? I asked hugging her immediately, she hugged back. "It's not your fault Lian, you didn't forget me on your own. Your memories were tampered with by Jun Wu, the same thing happened with Hua Cheng".

"I'm glad you're back, I'm glad you're up here with me. I'm never leaving you again Xie Li". "I'm never leaving you again either Xi Lian".
