Hades led Andre through the winding pathways of the Underworld, guiding him to a hidden gem: the garden. As they approached, the heavy atmosphere of the Underworld began to lighten, giving way to a serene and enchanting oasis.
The garden was a breathtaking sight. Lush greenery spread out in every direction, dotted with vibrant flowers of every color imaginable. Rich, deep purples, fiery reds, soft blues, and sunny yellows created a tapestry of life and beauty. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, mingling with the crisp freshness of the nearby stream that babbled gently as it wound through the garden.
Ancient, towering trees stood like silent guardians, their leaves whispering secrets to the wind. Ivy climbed up their gnarled trunks, and delicate vines hung down, swaying softly. There were stone benches scattered throughout, inviting visitors to sit and lose themselves in the tranquility of the place. In the center of the garden stood a large marble fountain, its clear water sparkling in the dim light and casting rainbows in the air.
Hades smiled as he watched Andre take in the beauty around them. "I thought you might like this place. It's one of my favorite spots."
Andre's eyes were wide with wonder. "It's incredible, Hades. I didn't expect to find something so beautiful here."
Hades chuckled. "The Underworld has its own kind of beauty, if you know where to look."
As they wandered deeper into the garden, a figure appeared from behind a large flowering bush. Thanatos, with his long black hair cascading over his shoulders, approached them. He wore a gentle smile, his dark eyes warm and welcoming.
"Good evening, Hades," Thanatos said, bowing slightly. "And you must be Andre. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Andre felt a bit shy but returned the smile. "Hi, Thanatos. It's nice to meet you too."
Hades nodded. "Thanatos, I thought it was time for Andre to see the garden. I knew he'd appreciate it."
Thanatos glanced around, his smile widening. "It's one of the most peaceful places here. I often come here to think and find some quiet."
Andre's curiosity got the better of him. "Do you take care of the garden?"
Thanatos shook his head. "Not really. The garden tends to itself, in a way. It's as if it has its own magic, keeping everything in balance. But I do like to spend time here."
Andre's shyness began to fade as they talked. "It's amazing. I've never seen anything like it."
Thanatos's smile grew even warmer. "I'm glad you like it. If you ever need a place to relax or clear your mind, you're always welcome here."
Andre felt a sense of comfort in Thanatos's presence. "Thank you. I think I'll take you up on that offer. This will be a nice place to read a book."
They continued to walk through the garden, the conversation flowing easily. Thanatos's respectful and polite demeanor put Andre at ease, and it wasn't long before they were chatting like old friends.
Thanatos looked at Andre with genuine interest. "So, Andre, what do you think of the Underworld so far?"
Andre considered his words carefully. "It's...different from what I expected. But in a good way. Everyone has been so kind to me, and it's clear there's so much more to this place than meets the eye. I feel so much safer here than I did up there."
Hades nodded in agreement. "The Underworld has its challenges, but it also has its own kind of beauty and peace."
Thanatos added, "And having friends here makes all the difference."
