Menelaus' soul ended up in the Underworld. He found Charon and begged him to take him to Hades as fast as he could. Normally, Charon would charge the souls, but he could see the panic in Menelaus' eyes, so he agreed to take him to Hades without any payment.
Upon arriving at Hades' throne room, Menelaus rushed in, his eyes wide with fear. "Hades, I need to speak with you. Zeus is coming to the Underworld to get Andre."
Hades raised an eyebrow, initially unconcerned. "Zeus cannot enter the Underworld. He knows that as well as I do."
Menelaus shook his head, his voice trembling. "That won't stop him from creating havoc and trying to force his way in. He's furious, Hades. He'll stop at nothing."
A flicker of worry crossed Hades' face as he considered Menelaus' words. "If Zeus is willing to go to such lengths, we should take precautions. We must hide Andre, just in case."
Leaving Menelaus in the throne room, Hades made his way to the library. As he entered, he saw Andre asleep with a book covering his face. A soft smile played on Hades' lips at the sight of his cute boyfriend, so peaceful and unaware of the danger looming over them.
He gently shook Andre awake. "Andre, wake up. We need to talk."
Andre stirred, the book slipping off his face. He blinked up at Hades, a sleepy smile forming. "Hey, what's going on?"
Hades' expression turned serious. "Zeus is on his way here. Menelaus warned me that he's coming to cause trouble and might try to break into the Underworld. We need to think of a plan to keep you safe."
Andre's eyes widened in alarm as he sat up. "What are we going to do?"
Hades sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know. We need to come up with something, but right now, my mind is drawing a blank."
They both sat in silence for a moment, the weight of the situation pressing down on them. Hades knew they couldn't afford to make any mistakes. Zeus's wrath was not something to be taken lightly.
Andre finally spoke up, his voice steady despite the fear in his eyes. "We'll figure it out, Hades. We always do. We'll find a way to stay safe."
Hades nodded, determination hardening his features. "You're right. We will. But we need to act quickly."
They spent the next few minutes brainstorming, but every idea they came up with seemed insufficient against Zeus's power. Hades felt a growing sense of frustration, knowing they were running out of time.
"We need to stay together," Hades finally said. "No matter what happens, we'll face it as one. Zeus won't tear us apart."
Andre nodded, reaching out to take Hades' hand. "I trust you, Hades. We'll get through this, no matter what it takes."
Just as they made this resolution, a distant rumble echoed through the Underworld, signaling Zeus's arrival at its borders. Hades squeezed Andre's hand, drawing strength from their bond.
"We'll be ready," Hades said, his voice firm. "For now, let's stay close and prepare for whatever comes next."
With that, they stood side by side, ready to face the looming threat together, their love and determination giving them the strength to stand against the approaching storm.
Hades then gets a quick idea. He summons Nyx, who appears in a swirl of shadows and stars.
"What is it, Hades?" Nyx asks, her voice soft yet commanding.
"Take Andre to the deepest part of the Underworld. It's the only place where Zeus won't be able to reach him," Hades instructs urgently.
Andre's eyes widen in alarm. "No, I won't leave without you!" Tears start to form in his eyes, his voice breaking. "I can't lose you, Hades. Please, don't make me go alone."
Hades feels his own tears welling up. He pulls Andre into a tight embrace, their bodies shaking with shared fear and sorrow. "I promise, Andre, I'll always be with you, no matter what happens. But you need to be safe. Zeus won't stop until he finds you."
Andre's tears fall freely now, and he clings to Hades desperately. "I don't want to go," he whispers, his voice choked with sobs.
Hades kisses Andre deeply, a kiss filled with all the love and pain he's feeling. When he pulls back, his own tears are streaming down his face. "Go with Nyx. Please. For me."
Nyx steps forward, her expression compassionate. "Come, Andre. I'll protect you."
Andre finally nods, though his heart feels like it's breaking. He lets Nyx take his hand, and with one last, longing look at Hades, he follows her into the depths of the Underworld.
Hades watches them go, his heart heavy with the weight of their separation. He wipes his eyes and takes a deep, steadying breath. He knows he must face Zeus, no matter the cost.
Hades then leaves the Underworld, emerging to confront Zeus. Their eyes lock, and the tension between them crackles like electricity in the air. The battle for Andre's fate is about to begin.
