Hades exited the Underworld, his footsteps echoing against the cold stone. He stood tall and unyielding in front of the entrance, his eyes locked onto Zeus with a deadly determination. The tension in the air was palpable, thick enough to cut with a knife.
"Zeus," Hades called out, his voice carrying the weight of millennia. "Turn back now. If you try anything, I'll fucking kill you."
Zeus's eyes narrowed, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "You think you can threaten me, Hades? You're nothing but a coward hiding in your dark little hole."
Hades clenched his fists, his jaw set in grim resolve. "I will not let you take Andre. He's safe from you, and that's where he'll stay."
Zeus laughed, a harsh, cruel sound. "Safe? You think he's safe with you? You're a fool, Hades. You can't protect him forever."
"Better than letting him be your plaything," Hades spat back. "You disgust me, Zeus. You're a vile, twisted bastard who doesn't deserve to call himself a god."
"Watch your mouth, you fucking piece of shit," Zeus growled, stepping closer, his eyes blazing with fury. "I am the king of the gods. I take what I want, and no one can stop me."
"Not this time," Hades said, his voice low and dangerous. "I'll stop you, even if it means tearing you apart."
"You've always been weak, hiding in your shadows," Zeus sneered. "I'll tear you limb from limb and drag Andre back by his hair."
Hades's eyes darkened with a rage that matched Zeus's own. "Over my dead body."
"That can be arranged," Zeus hissed, his hand moving to the hilt of his weapon.
Zeus drew his weapon first: a massive, ornate thunderbolt, crackling with raw energy. It glowed with an intense, electric blue light, the very air around it humming with power. The thunderbolt was almost as tall as Zeus himself, its jagged edges promising a painful, electrifying death.
Hades responded in kind, drawing his own weapon—a gleaming obsidian scythe. The blade was curved and wickedly sharp, reflecting the dim light with a sinister sheen. Intricate silver runes glowed along the handle, pulsating with an eerie, otherworldly light. The weapon was an extension of Hades's power over death, and its mere presence seemed to chill the air around it.
"Enough talk," Hades snapped, gripping his scythe tightly. "Let's end this."
The two gods glared at each other, their weapons gleaming ominously. The tension between them was a palpable force, ready to explode.
"You'll regret this, Hades," Zeus snarled, his voice dripping with venom. "I'll make sure your death is slow and agonizing."
"Bring it on, you son of a bitch," Hades replied, his voice cold and unwavering. "Let's see who's left standing."
With a roar of fury, both gods charged at each other, their weapons raised high. The clash of metal echoed through the air as they collided, each strike fueled by a burning hatred. The thunderbolt and scythe met with a blinding flash of light, sending sparks flying in all directions.
Zeus swung his thunderbolt with a savage intensity, aiming for Hades's head. Hades parried the blow with his scythe, the force of the impact reverberating through his arms. He countered with a swift, slicing motion, aiming for Zeus's midsection.
Zeus dodged, his movements swift and fluid. He retaliated with a blast of lightning from his thunderbolt, the crackling energy searing through the air. Hades narrowly avoided the blast, the heat singing his cloak as he twisted out of the way.
The battle raged on, each god pushing the other to their limits. Their weapons clashed again and again, the sound echoing like thunder. Zeus's strength and fury were matched by Hades's agility and precision. The ground beneath them cracked and trembled under the force of their blows.
"You can't win, Hades!" Zeus shouted, his voice a mix of rage and desperation. "I'll destroy you and take what's mine!"
"Not if I send you to Tartarus first!" Hades retorted, his eyes blazing with determination.
Zeus's face twisted into a cruel smile. "And when I do get him back, I'll make sure he suffers before he dies. I'll make him beg for mercy, and then I'll kill him slowly, savoring every scream."
Hades felt a surge of fury so intense that his hair caught fire, burning with a bright, otherworldly flame. The sight of his beloved Andre being threatened in such a vile manner made his blood boil. "You bastard! You'll never lay a hand on him again!"
The two gods fought with everything they had, neither willing to give an inch. Their weapons were a blur of motion, each strike more powerful than the last. The very fabric of reality seemed to shudder under the intensity of their battle.
"After I finish with you, I'll make sure Andre pays for every ounce of pain you've caused me," Zeus taunted, his voice laced with malice. "He'll wish he had never crossed me."
Hades roared with rage, his scythe slashing through the air with deadly precision. "I'll die before I let that happen!"
The clash of their weapons sent shockwaves through the ground, the force of their blows creating cracks in the earth. Zeus's thunderbolt crackled with unrestrained power, each strike accompanied by a deafening boom of thunder. Hades's scythe moved with lethal grace, its obsidian blade slicing through the air with a sinister hiss.
"You'll never win, Zeus!" Hades shouted, his voice echoing with unwavering resolve. "I'll protect Andre with my life!"
Zeus's eyes burned with fury, his grip tightening on his thunderbolt. "Then prepare to die, Hades!"
With a final, ferocious clash, the two gods charged at each other, their weapons raised high. The chapter ends with Zeus and Hades locked in a deadly duel, their rage and determination pushing them to their limits. The fate of Andre hangs in the balance, as Hades and Zeus fight with everything they have, neither willing to back down until one of them is left standing.
