Hades hesitated, then took a deep breath. "One more thing... do you love Andre? And not love as in a friend love, do you love him as in you have romantic feelings towards him?"
Apollo's eyes widened slightly, his expression a mix of surprise and contemplation. He took a deep breath, his eyes meeting Hades' with a mixture of sincerity and guilt. "Yes, Hades," he said softly. "I do have romantic feelings towards Andre. I've tried to push them aside, knowing that he belongs with you, but... I can't help how I feel."
Hades felt a pang of jealousy and a flicker of pain, but he also understood the depth of Apollo's emotions. He knew that Apollo had cared for Andre, had been there for him during some of his darkest moments. It was only natural that those feelings had grown into something more.
"I'm sorry," Apollo continued, his voice breaking slightly. "I'm so sorry, Hades. I never meant for this to happen. I never wanted to come between you two."
Before Apollo could say more, Hades stepped forward and wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug. Apollo froze for a moment, then slowly relaxed into the embrace, his body trembling with a mix of relief and emotion.
"It's okay," Hades murmured, his voice gentle. "It's okay, Apollo. You don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong."
Apollo clung to Hades, his breath hitching with the effort to hold back tears. "I just want him to be happy," he whispered. "That's all I want."
Hades nodded, his hand gently rubbing Apollo's back. "I know. And so do I."
They stood like that for a moment, the weight of their emotions shared and understood. Finally, Hades pulled away slightly, just enough to look into Apollo's eyes. He gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead, a gesture of friendship and understanding.
"This doesn't change anything between us," Hades said softly. "You're my friend, Apollo. And nothing will ever change that."
Apollo nodded, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "Thank you, Hades," he whispered. "Thank you for understanding."
Hades smiled, a small, reassuring smile. "We'll get through this together," he said. "For Andre. For all of us."
Apollo nodded again, a sense of hope and determination filling his heart. "For Andre," he agreed, feeling a renewed sense of purpose and unity.
Apollo and Hades then entered the room again. Hades walked over to the bed where Andre lay, his eyes already closing from exhaustion. Hades slipped under the covers, and as soon as he did, Andre instinctively reached out and held onto him, his grip tight and reassuring.
Apollo watched them for a moment, a soft smile on his lips. "Goodnight, Hades," he said quietly, making his way to Artemis's bed.
"Goodnight, Apollo," Hades replied, his voice tender.
Apollo settled into the bed, his mind easing as he saw Andre and Hades together. He closed his eyes and soon drifted off to sleep, comforted by the thought that they were all together and safe.
Meanwhile, Artemis and Thanatos were hanging out in a serene field, the soft glow of twilight casting a peaceful ambiance. The field where Artemis and Thanatos stood was a breathtaking expanse of natural beauty, a place where the world seemed to pause and breathe. The soft glow of twilight bathed the landscape in hues of purple and gold, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
The field was blanketed in a myriad of wildflowers, their petals gently swaying in the evening breeze. Vibrant hues of bluebells, daisies, and lavender painted the ground, their sweet fragrance mingling in the air. The flowers created a tapestry of colors that seemed to stretch endlessly, a living quilt beneath the sky.
